Norton, Willis and Murray in Wes Anderson's "Moonrise Kingdom"Posted: May 3rd, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Focus Features has acquired worldwide rights to Wes Anderson's new film, called "Moonrise Kingdom," which stars Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton and Jason Schwartzman.
Set on an island off the coast of New England in the 1960s, the new film follows a young boy (Jared Gilman) and girl (Kara Hayward) falling in love. When they are moved to run away together, various factions of the town mobilize to search for them and the town is turned upside down - which might not be such a bad thing.
Willis plays the town sheriff; Norton is cast as a camp leader; Murray and McDormand portray the young girl's parents.

Thia got awesome-o's written all over it. Even though all his movies have the same quirky tone to them, he's still a great movie director/writer. Can't wait to see this.

I'd love to see a parallel universe where Wes Anderson's films raked in hundreds of millions of dollars and see if the response to this announcement was still as positive as what im reading.

I just hope this is a witty Anderson production and not his attempt at a serious movie. Just saying.
