Larry David is a Nun in "The Three Stooges"

Larry David is a Nun in "The Three Stooges"Submit Comment
Back in February it was reported that "Seinfeld" co-creator Larry David ("Curb Your Enthusiasm") was in talks to play one of the three leads in the Farrelly brothers' "The Three Stooges" movie.

Deadline has now learned that David is in negotiations to join the production, but he won't play any of the Stooges. Instead, he has been cast as Mother Mengele, the unfortunate nun who runs the orphanage where the Stooges grow up and learn to create mayhem.

Sean Hayes ("Will and Grace") is set to play the role of Larry, and Will Sasso ("MADtv"), the role of Curly. Fox is closing in on a deal with Chris Diamantopoulos ("24") to play the role of Moe.

Oh, awesome, an old dude playing an old nun. Sure, the Stooges sometimes played women, but then they were the Stooges, and what they did was awesome because they were the Stooges, but this is just some old guy that made a terribly boring show based on one Jew's dry sense of humor, so, no, really, no thanks, I'll watch reruns of Moe Larry Curly and Shemp instead.

im hating this more and more with every new announcement.. im a huge stooge fan. why cant they just leave the classics alone? this is like trying to remake a marx brothers movie.

@ minkowski: Look at it this way: at least he's not playing Joe.

If that f*cker shows up in the film, I am gonna flip sh*t.

Which one, there was two. Joe Besser, the fat annoying one, and Joe DeRita, the fat boring annoying one.

"Stop it, not so haaaaaard!"

Thank you Harry Cohn for f*cking over Shemp and Curly and stripping the Stooges of the dignity they deserved after Shemp died. f*cker.

I hope this is the farely brothers last chance because the rest of the movies after there's something bout mary have been as bad as judd apatows movies.

Mother Mengele?! Mengele... really?

Does she commit surgical atrocities upon the orphans?

I'd watch that.

@ minkowski: I was referring to Besser. That flouncing nelly's stint with the Stooges deserves nothing but utter contempt.

"Stop it! Not so haaaaard!"

Jesus H....how I hate that infantile exclamation of his. I wanna make a joke about it - something like "The quote originated during Besser's early teenage years when his disgruntled and drug-addled father would come home from work at the saw mill and, to alleviate his myriad frustrations (not the least of which was his inability to raise a masculine son), mercilessly finger-f*ck him with his splintery digits in front of the bawling mother and siblings until the lad's colon prolapsed and jettisoned outward like a pink, unwashed lesbian's gym sock, releasing the feces-encrusted skeletal remains of one dozen tiny pet rodents onto the blood-drenched linoleum in the process" - but I just can't think of anything good.

They should have both Joes appear in the movie and kill the bastards off. I couldn't stand either one.
