Not Movie News: Osama Bin Laden is Dead!Submit Comment
By now, many of you know that Osama Bin Laden has been killed. This has nothing to do with movies, but is clearly a topic that the whole world is discussing and many have an opinion on. So feel free to comment on it below.

Bin Laden was the leader of Al Qaeda and the mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks against the United States, which is now in possession of his body. Sources claim that he was killed by a US bomb a week ago, but it is still unclear how his body was captured.

The US has been waiting for the results of a DNA test to confirm his identity. Apparently the tests showed that the body was in fact Bin Laden.

It is related to movie news cause we'll see a movie in 2 years from now. And a cheap, sh*tty (yet rad) Asylum rip-off of the hollywood version will come out 3 months before the release of hollywood's version.

I'm curious, Alex: what will be the benchmark for acceptable expression for this thread? Are we free to be as ethnocentric as we want? 'Cause if we are, then I wouldn't mind dropping a few slurs here and there.

I'm not a racist, mind you: I'm just ornery and bored and feel like playing into the hysterical, Wild West jubilation that a killing such as this merits. And also because I think racism is really, really funny and, moreover, that there should no restrictions on a person's right to free speech (hateful or otherwise).

This *sshole's been dead for years now. Last time we caught up with him ten years ago, he was in the final stages of renal failure.
Bin laden was the entire public face of a brand spankin new war, so they gave him the Weekend at Bernie's treatment.

The fact that we've finally announced it 9 years after the middle eastern media tells me it must be time for the troops to come home. Either way it's tasty, helpful propaganda. Sure to raise spirits... and the value of a dollar.
rabid writes:
on May 2nd, 2011 at 12:35:33 AM

And I'm sure Pakistan will be fine with it. Musharraf has said on numerous occassions that bin Laden died nearly a decade ago. So did Benazir Bhutto a couple weeks before she caught a bullet. I think the Pakis came to terms with it a long time ago.

So I guess 'hiding' and livin' large in Saudi Arabia couldn't even save his kidneys.

It's kind of a shame he's taking most of the spotlight for 9/11, yet the real culprits: Bush Sr./Jr. and the d*ck, just sit back on all their billions of $'s re-building Iraq (destroyed with US tax $'s) via Haliburton.

Oil well that ends well.

I'm happy for no other reason than:

He's dead
Al Qaeda is weaker because of it
The world is a better place with him not in it

No matter what your thoughts on 9/11 are (unless you're a retard conspiracy theorist), no matter if you think the US knew something was going to happen and let it happen, whether you think we're in Iraq if not the whole Middle East for the wrong reasons (count me in the Iraq part), this man was pure f*cking evil and absolutely planned 9/11 and deserved a death worse than the one he got.

Now we party on official Osama is dead day.

To anyone with the delusions that the US had anything to do with 9/11 go f*ck yourself. I understand freedom of speech, but everyone has to find a fallback guy and paranoid people always point a finger at the government. So you people with ur fantasy stories of government conspiracys can go wear your tinfoil helmets and preach somewhere else. Osama was an enemy of the country and has been sought after for the last 10 years. Hiding in countries we have not been allowed to set bases up in or provide a military presence. Countless men and women of our US government have been working for the last 10 years running up every lead and leak trying to find him. Finally his location was tracked, we get permission from home country to get him, and flawlessly pull of the operation of the decade without any friendly casualties. Its history and like it or not, everyone should be proud of the US Accomplishments not just today, but over the past 10 years after 9/11. You super radical hippies dont deserve the right to protest the government that protects you night and day, to ensure you have a job, life, family, etc. Its not a perfect world, but people are working towards it. America.....f*ck yea.
Cinemaisdead writes:
on May 2nd, 2011 at 5:15:43 AM

Took America what? 10 years to find him, killed more of their own soldiers in the search. Bit late Bin Laden would have died of old age soon any way.
The First Rule writes:

For once I completely agree with Ranger's assertion.

Even if you don't buy some of the alternative theories, this is a Pyrrhic Victory, al Queda is decentralized and you can't defeat a Hydra by cutting off one of the heads. I overheard my roommate talking today about how we defeated alQueda because Bin Laden gave all the orders and he funded them through his own personal wealth. This is the kind of ignorance that is astounding in an educated group of Americans...I really couldn't believe what I was hearing.

And sorry LuvCake, but if your proud of the wars that we have waged and civilians murdered then you have a sick sense of justice.

Im pretty sure during the Civil War, nobody was concerned if the government had set the whole thing up, or world war 1, or 2. Nobody talked of government conspiracys. They just gave undying support to the troops who were doing the work they were told to do. Id like to see you people run government for a day and let the world point out your every mistake. He deserved to die. In fact, I Hope those seals hooked his body to the back of a Humvee, and dragged him throughout the country as a sign. A sign that nobody f*cks with the US.

f*ck yall man. Ive been to the desert, Ive worked with every branch. Ive seen first hand the job, that everyone does daily. The sacrifices they put up with. Seeing their kids grow up through pictures. Or gettin off back home and you knowing that your 12 men short of the ones you went with. Even when you see your family, you know others arnt there because they already recieved their news. Its a enemy that doesnt have a face, because they hide in buildings or caves, or use children as portable explosives. A Enemy more ruthless than any army. They attack and run away like cowards. If you think you can provide a better solution, get off your computer, fly over, and fix the problem yourself.

Its a great day for America and Americans and all who have been affected by this man's evil. Although this will not bring back those killed on 9/11 or in other terrorist attacks throughout the world, at least it is some measure of justice.

Yes, the U.S. made mistakes in the past (just like every other country at some point). That doesn't mean 9/11 was an inside job or an internal conspiracy. Sometimes a spade is a spade. Of course this also doesn't mean that the troops are coming home tomorrow. They still need and deserve our support. I'm proud to be an American, and today that's even more true than usual.

Kudos to the team that went in there and got the job done, and without any collateral damage or U.S. casualties. It's been a long time coming, but it's worth it.

So, Bin Laden has been living it large (probably on US $'s) for who knows how long? Now that the US $'s are long-since exhausted... low and behold they find Bin Laden. Time to come home. Even if he died years ago it would have been in the US's best interest to keep him deep frozen for just this day. As long as Bin Laden was 'out there'... the US Government has had an open checkbook to 'protect the US' (from terrorism... you can't protect yourself against terrorism. And anyone that thinks they can is an idiot).

@TheFirstRule - great comparison re: can't kill a hydra by just cutting off one of it's heads. Exactly.

Who else could have pulled off BOTH attacks? Several with JFK, and only a couple with 9/11. And people that pull this off just love the sheep that give a sigh of relief when it's all over, and JFK is buried, and Bin Laden is 'found' - yep... it's easy to sigh, sleep well, and never ask any questions.

Is anyone here going to tell me the Bush family and Cheney haven't benefited from the 9/11 attacks financially (via Haliburton's rebuilding of Iraq)? Because if you think they haven't... go soak your head.

Hitler's body was unidentifiable.

I'm sure we won't see Bin Laden's either. And even if we do... how long (years) has he been deep frozen like a fish stick?

I'm NOT saying a conspiracy theory is available. I just get a real kick out of those that say it is IMPOSSIBLE that a conspiracy COULD HAVE happened.

I'd like ANYone on here to speculate...

If Bin Laden wasn't living large, under protection. And he was running around the mountains and hiding in tunnels all these years, how he would have received his regular dialysis treatments? A pretty major medical procedure requiring a LOT of equipment.

Bin Laden was a 'distraction' for the past 10 years (whilst the Bush family and Cheney made a FORTUNE through Haliburton)... a patsy... a puppet like Oswald was. It would be impossible for some of you to believe your very tax $'s were going to pay for his protection and medical care. As long as he was 'out there'... the war against Iraq (what exactly did Iraq have to do with 9/11 IF Bin Laden was a Saudi?) was given reason. Now that he's no longer 'out there'... simpletons think they're safe(r) from terrorism. If you can't see a SIMPLE pattern like that.. well... LOL.

Because we all know politicians are there to serve the public good (snicker), and NEVER there to make kick-backs they would never see in the private sector. Yeah... ALL politicians are honest.

Totally possible that this 'bogeyman' was vaporized in a cave back in 2001 but this time i think that it happened as it was played out.Pakistan have IMO been sheltering him since day one.Read a book called 'Kill Bin Laden' written by an ex Delta Captain and in it he claims that at Tora Bora shortly before the large scale invasion when it was just Spec ops on the ground that he heard over a captured AQ radio OBL apologizing to his 'troops' about his defeat saying that Pakistan,Saudi promised to help fight The Americans/West should they invade but they left Bins boys on their own.
He also claims that OBL and his close aides were choppered out of A-stan by the Pakistan army, litraly on the other side of the mountain,a mile or two away but to come out with this info would have meant going to war with a nuclear power. True i dunno but it makes sense. The books banned in America i think or they tried to ban it.

Seems like Bin Laden WAS living it up in a nice(r) place. Whilst TRILLIONS of $'s (that the US has borrowed from China) and UNnecessary deaths of men and women in the Armed Forces (just because they have volunteered for military service doesn't make them unnecessarily expendable) died in Iraq for????? And Afghanistan... no Bin Laden?! WTF?! BIG surprise.

And for someone so wanted, YOU are NOT questioning WHY they disposed of the body so quickly? lol...

What a joke.

Here's how it COULD have gone. The Bush Family and Cheney's no longer needed Bin Laden. Obama gets the tip. Bin Laden is killed. Yeah, we never saw THAT with Oswald did we?

To quote Captain Kirk: 'The first rule of assassination, kill the assassin.

So again... if Bin Laden (a US-trained Saudi - which, next to Israel is the US's BEST friend in the middle east) WAS responsible for 9/11... WHY invade Iraq? Not ONCE did they EVER suspect Bin Laden was there. Oh right... Saddam DID make threats to Bush Sr. 20 years ago... right, I forgot. lol.

Yeah, politicians love money and and are sometimes crooked. I think that's pretty widely accepted. And yes, the Haliburton boys probably got rich from the Iraq war. There's no defending any of that. I still think there's a big jump between that and "our own government brought down the towers". Do I trust the government completely? No. But I think (or hope at least) that I can trust them that much.

I also think it's definitely possible that we may have had bin Laden a lot sooner if not for interference from Pakistan. And it may be true that they don't want to piss off the U.S. due to sanctions, loss of trade, etc., but the U.S. still had to tread lightly since we're already fighting two wars (2 1/2 with Libya included). Plus Pakistan is a nuclear power, as previously mentioned. So maybe they did get in the way and we had to defer to them a little, but in the end, the outcome is the best one.

America is still a great country, and I don't think anyone can argue the world is better off today.

So... WHO was backing Pakistan? Bush(Sr.. Jr. is just too stupid) and Cheney had far more the gain than China.

And WHY did the US go into Iraq again? They weren't invading Kuwait (this time). But best way to cripple the west is to hit them in their bank account. Japan and Germany have been doing it since the end of WWII. The US can't compete with them on any price point.

Well US... you had a good century run.

minkowski writes:

Ranger, seriously, not trying to be a d*ck here, but 99% of what you just said is factually incorrect.

Bin Laden was NOT trained by the US (US anti-Soviet aid was funneled into Pakistan's intelligence service instead, and Osama pointedly refuted that he had ever been trained by anyone but mujahadeen), Bush and Cheney had ZERO connection to Osama bin Laden (other than business connections to the Carlyle Group, of which many senior Democrats also had and have connections, and of which Osama had no connection whatsoever).

I know a lot of people think you're a hilarious guy, but to be blunt bro you're talking way out of your ass.

And yes, Obama will get re-elected for sure, but not because of this, but because Republican front-runners are a bunch of laughingstocks.

And yes, it took a long time to get a guy basically hiding out in Pakinstan in the midst of millions of supporters.

And no, it's not that important he was killed. Symbolicially, sure, it has some strength, but the guy was out the door years and years ago which is exactly why Bush said he wasn't too terrible interested in the guy, because he knew, as I know, that killing him then would have no real impact on al Qaeda, and that Bush wanted to change the places these people breed rather than just 'swat mosquitos'.

And c-prime, I thought, man, you were a bit more refined and not quite so stereotypical. Oh well, I guess Trig remains my only hope for a smart, well-balanced black dude on WP. Not that I really give a sh*t.

And Rabid, drop the conspiranoid sh*t. JFK wasn't killed from the grassy knoll, molemen do not live under Denver and 9-11 was committed by Islamic psychos, not GWB. Get over it.

And: the military and all the planners deserve credit for finding and killing Osama, NOT Obama, because these raids and searches have been on-going for nearly ten years, uninterrupted, and to say Obama alone made this happen, well, that's incredibly shortsighted.

"Making headlines talking about birth certificates < Making headlines putting dents in the War on Terror"

Obama ended the War on Terror, so I have no clue what you're on about.

"In other words, this nigga gets sh*t done."

Way to go. In one fell stroke you've labeled our mixed president a 'n*gger' and you've applauded him for something the military and CIA made possible. Great. Really great indeed.

"Hitler's body was unidentifiable"

That too is not true. The body was partially burned by the Nazis in an attempt to hide it from the advancing Allies, but the Soviets made quite positive identification. And they doc*mented the identification.

"And yes, the Haliburton boys probably got rich from the Iraq war."

Halliburton was already 'rich', and according to GAO reports, they actually lost significant revenue during the Iraq rebuilding. Then again, even if they had become rich, why not? Everything you take for granted was made possible because someone somwhere wanted to get wealthy, so why should Halliburton rebuild a nation for free? And remember, we were at de facto war with Iraq for 12 years.

"The books banned in America i think or they tried to ban it."

There are no banned books, only books people refuse to publish or books that contain illegal material. I can assure you, if they didn't 'ban' the how-to book for child molesters, they didn't ban some book on where Osama went one day after 9-11.

"which, next to Israel is the US's BEST friend in the middle east"

Also the only DEMOCRACY in the Middle East, but that couldn't be why, could it?

"They can't afford pissing off the US and suffer economic sanctions, lost weapon trades etc."

We actually do a great deal more military business with India, Pakistan's immediate nuclear rival.

"We'll never know... but no one disregard that the US sponsored Bin Laden's stay in Pakistan."

And how's that, may I ask?

"If Pakistan suffers NO REAL punishment from the US for sheltering Bin Laden... we'll have our answer, won't we?"

Yes, and the answer is: we don't care to start another war against another Islamic nation, not after Afghanistan and Iraq and even Libya, not with a nation with nukes and not one that if immediate attacked would rain fire down on India. That could be why or it could be a nefarious, nebulous conspiracy.

"just because they have volunteered for military service doesn't make them unnecessarily expendable"

Because you don't join the military to fight wars and do battle, you do it to shine boots, eat in the mess hall and get a nice welfare check, right? What's 'unnecessarily expendable' to you?

"Thank you SEALS and CIA you've made us all proud!"

@Mink - good post (really).

You left out Saudi Arabia in all this. I have no doubt they've had a hand with Bush and all this. Don't ask... honestly... too long to type... lol.

As for Haliburton already being 'rich'... yes, but rich is never enough. Whatever they may have lost in the short-run they'll make up. For them, rich isn't rich enough. They don't go into thing blind.

And I don't think Military people should just sit around (my Dad was career military) - WWII - UN in Egypt, etc. Expendable I meant was to put them into Iraq for...??? In '91 sure, go defend Kuwait. They were under attack (and a huge oil supplier, unlike the poor blacks in Rwanda). But going into Iraq this time was because?

As for no books being 'banned' only not-produced... cool. Good point.

I have NO DOUBT the SEALS, etc. took out Bin Laden. But the tip came the same time (or long after) the US could/can afford to remain in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Coincidence... maybe... maybe not.

From what I've read, Ranger, pretty much all the economists are predicting significant cooling of the Chinese economy in the coming two decades. And though I hate to eappeal to authority, that's the best I can do because I'm not into predicting Chinese economics.

Yes, the US is in a slump now, and we have long-term structural issues, but remember we were in a major hole back in the 1930's only to come roaring back.

The ONLY way our economy can irreversibly decline is if the feds alter the economic rules to create disincentives, like the new proposals to make more corportations pay more tax, which effectively runs off potential international investors and runs off even more domestic businesses.

What we need NOW is to attract businesses, like in Ireland, rather than run them off, which is what's effectively happening AFAIK.

And it's funny: you're one of the very few here to step up to the proverbial plate and address the issues, rather than scurry away like some insect. Takes a man I guess and damn, seems like almost nothing but kids here at WP. Pffffttt.

Thx. Mink... mucho appreciato.

As for the US getting out of the hole in the 30's... WWII (late 20's as we all know) was the major thing to get the economy going.

As for economists... no offense to anyone here that may be one, knows one, or has one tied to their bumper... but they tend to be wrong a great deal of the time. I don't even know why they bother with their predictions. In fact, they're wrong so often, I would (honestly) bet against them.

The ONLY thing I can see for the free world to turn itself around (not just the US), is to sincerely go back old school... grass roots.

Ask NOT what your country can do for you...
Ask what YOU can do for your country.

JFK, while a womanizer (kudos!), a rich brat, etc. He had many things right, as did Martin Luther King, and they and many others have been killed for 'not playing ball.'

The majority of populations out there expecting things to be dumped into their laps, instead of working for them.

Remember when everyone thought Japan was going to own the US, when they thought japan would rule the world? Yeah, and now look at them. From roaring overheated economy to twenty years of stagnation.

And while some of your economic facts are correct, it doesn't change the widening GINI coefficient within America. Could China fizzle out as easily as Japan...Of course. Is the US in too much debt and with incredibly unequal pay distribution, of course. Rabid, just a suggestion bro, stop masturbating to Gen 13 and Avatar 3D for just a sec, k? Read a book for a change, k?

And c-prime, they may be rednecks, and I don't doubt that for a minute, but then I'm no redneck and I can't stop smiling at the thought that mass-murdering psycho son a whore who planned the flying of men woman and children into buildings didn't just die, he died ala Die Hard/24, totally unexpectedly without one US casualty.

Bet the dirty old piece of sh*t never thought he'd go down whilst sitting in his little million dollar bunker. Ha! Loved to have seen the look on his face when the helicopters dumped forty elite Team Sixers in his f*cking lap!

And, you know what, I'm still f*cking smiling. Last night, evil died. But it'll be back.

Things that aren't generally peaceful make my knees hurt. So I try to watch only Canadian news.. You know..

The news where the scariest sh*t happening is the development going up across the street thats blocking the view of the mountains..

If you guys ever need someone to kill some people once you get invaded im all for it. Ill stick by America as long as I can.. So long as I can continue getting super value meals at McDonalds for 1.39, you've got yourselves a soldier...

Until then.. I'll stay in my passive little mountain town and enjoy the finer things in life.. like hockey and fishing and smoking weed.

You thoroughly debunked what? You just saying sh*t and claiming victory while calling out Ranger with your half truths and made up facts. At no point did I contend that the US could be Sweden, but what the f*ck are you talking about we wouldn't want to live like them. We do plenty of things very very well, like our universities are second to none, but Sweden has a higher overall level of health and standard of living, as well as higher per capita income. (With better income equality, by almost 20 points...the same amount that separates us from some of the absolute worst countries.)

No one with any intelligence thinks China is anything to aspire to, they've grown incredibly quickly but the disparity between their rich and poor has as well. No one wins in a race to the bottom, except the companies the make all the profit.

Always gotta be the one that's right. It's okay, I can be blunt myself when I feel like it.

"Way to go. In one fell stroke you've labeled our mixed president a 'n*gger' and you've applauded him for something the military and CIA made possible. Great. Really great indeed"

Why thank you, my good man.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm a fan of impudence, doesn't seem like you are so much. But that's okay.

Standing orders my friend. If the president didn't give that order, the ruckus yesterday wouldn't have happened. That's all I'm saying. Not like I said he went and shot the f*cker in the face himself, jeez. I don't know man, I'm not trying to be serious here, not like you. I just like to f*ck around. It's probably immature, but that's okay too. Blunt can be boring. If I want to go show off academic knowledge I'll do it somewhere other than WorstPreviews, lol no point there.

btw the "Die Hard" esque special forces operation you champion was impressive, considering our prior history of such operations. Though you seem to forget the last 10 years and million dead and focus on the successful final chapter or one long operation.

A million people didn't die in Iraq, that was just a terrible mathematical extrapolation The Lancet published back 04 to screw with the election, and they admitted as much, as they also admitted to using places like Fallujah to extrapolte their sweet little numbers, and here you are, repeating some stupidity you heard somewhere without ever bothering to look beneath the attractive (to you) surface.

"I'm just joking with you man. I was using that classic technique of yours where you talk cheap potshots when you can't refute something. It's endearing."

Rabid, the only thing you ever say that has even an ounce of factual merit is when you're regurgitating some worthless comic book trivia. So, please, when you can actually read a real book, that thingy with all the pages and not some Kindle/Nook/Ipad pop-cultie trash, lemme know, bro.

But hey, you cold always beat me in a round of Comic Book Jeopardy. I mean, I couldn't name all the colors of Spiderman's underwear if I had a million years to do so. So you got me there.

"except the companies the make all the profit."

Because wealth can be generated some other way?

"You just saying sh*t and claiming victory while calling out Ranger with your half truths and made up facts."

Which is why and how you've proven all my half-truths and made up facts incorrect, right? Please, do correct me my good moron, err, man.

"Standing orders my friend. If the president didn't give that order, the ruckus yesterday wouldn't have happened."

I guess when I turn my car key, I can take credit for all the work the car does in getting my happy ass down the street, right?

"And Mink: 'I'll take the sporadic union anyday over the topdown communist stanglehold in China.' --- No argument here. You know I wasn't saying China's system is better. They can just be more efficient is all (sans unions)."

There's a billion of them willing to work for rice. Unions are a Western luxury, the start of the spoiled class, one China simply cannot afford right now. That may change, but then I might imagine the social fabric in Asian nations isn't amenable to unions. Don't see many in Japan, but they do have a highly traditional, conservative business model.

"At no point did I contend that the US could be Sweden...amount that separates us from some of the absolute worst countries.)"

You mentioned Sweden, like hey look I can throw out this totally different nation, one that really doesn't resemble the US in any way imaginable, from history to geography to everything else, and then when I say that your comparison is not only NOT novel but almost tired, considering how often I've heard it mentioned in the last ten years, and how well it's been thoroughly debunked, which I am NOT going to do here because it's common sense why the two cannot be compared, you get all defensive, and I think that's rather interesting, for a moment, but ultimately boring.
jdl107 writes:

You can make all the quips you want, but this wouldn't have happened without his word. They couldn't have made a move on their own. Damn you seem smart, you should know this.

But I guess you gotta be clever. Think about it this way then, that car won't take your happy ass down the street unless you turn that car key.

"I'll end up embarassing myself."

Too late?

And you know who built China into the world's second largest economy? US. That's right, the US. Not Mao and not anyone else. We did. We opened those f*ckers up and told them we'd send them billions, trillions, if they made our sh*t on the cheap so our lazy fat American asses could have lots of junk and not have to make one damned thing.

And China, having a billion starving peasants, said, ok, sure, thanks, send us your money and will make whatever piece of sh*t toy you desire, and they're building an entire nation off the cash we send them, because if we hadn't opned them up, if we hadn't bought their garbage for deacades, they'd still be eating rice with two black fingers.

Same goes for the petro-rats, building entire cities from f*cking scratch off the black goo we so badly desire and they so badly want to exploit.

You people act like China et al, pulled themselves up from nothing and that's a damned lie.

@ Mink

*Thoroughly debunked*

I'm not quite sure while I'm arguing on the internet but your ignorance astounds me.

Your assertion that the million total is distorted is also half true, I picked a million because its in the middle of the lowest excepted and highest claimed totals. (Remember your reference was 2004) Not being there I realize that I cannot be sure, but some of the more biased organizations are claiming almost 1.5 now and the more conservative estimates are around 500,000. I don't believe either, especially when Wikileaks proved our military has made an effort to conceal statistics.

Second, Unions are responsible for the quality of life you and any of person in a developed country enjoys. Life's real great in countries without organized labor.

Next, I can compare the US to almost any European country economics wise. We all follow versions of the capitalist model. Obviously they arent driven by a military industrial complex that consumes half their countries tax revenue (to be clear, this doesnt include the separate SS tax)They aren't in as much national debt even though they provide much more welfare to the populace. They are beating us in almost every statistic that can be used to measure development, so I'm not sure how you can claim the countries cannot be compared.

Rabid is right, you dodge the arguments you can't explain and with others you claim are wrong and cite common sense. You are the lowest form of a debater, but your lack of acknowledgement to reality makes you unbeatable in your own mind. Please stay there.

I know wars like other people know baseball statistics. A million to 1.5 million people died in the Persian Gulf War..And by that I mean the war between Iraq and Iran from 1980 to 1988 not the little brush conflict we got into (in comparison). When a million people die in a war you have huuuge offensives such as the human wave tactics Iran used against Iraq where in a single battle you get 10 to 20 thousand killed in just one offensive over a few weeks OR you get massive Nazi sized death camps like the Khmer Rouge had in the late 1970;s before Vietnam invaded their ass. Neither of which happened in the current Iraq war.

And Sweden is a small population country, homogenous, its own oil supplies in the gulf sea, with a good work ethic and that like much of Europe lives ungratefully under the protection of the US Military since WW2 otherwise most likely they would be speaking German or Russian right now. No comparison. The US is Europe bug bully they get when they want someone beaten up but are then ungrateful of it because of the violence needed to get the job done. they remind me of a starving family who gets the father to kill the chicken to cook it and eat it but whom the kid secretly resents because he saw his dad cut its head off even though he partakes in eating the meat. Grow up pacifists of Europe, we live in Earth not in heaven and Darwinism doesn’t only apply to the wildness of the jungles but to international politics and sometimes nasty sh*t has to be done for the greater good, its part of being a man or a nation that protects its family or citizens. Eat or be eaten. f*ck Bin laden and may he rot in hell.
