Arnold Schwarzenegger to Make a Lot of Money for "Cry Macho"Submit Comment
We just reported that Arnold Schwarzenegger's next movie will be "Cry Macho," which will be directed by Brad Furman (The Lincoln Lawyer) and produced by Al Ruddy (Godfather, Million Dollar Baby).

Before he was Governor, Schwarzenegger was earning $25 million upfront and 25% first dollar gross to star in movies. Deadline has now learned that the actor dropped his price down to $10 million and 25% first dollar gross for "Cry Macho." Despite lowering his price, the deal will be more lucrative than any other actor in Hollywood can get. And nobody is even sure if the 63-year-old Schwarzenegger can still attract an audience.

In "Cry Macho," Schwarzenegger will play a horse trainer who's just been let go by his feckless boss. In exchange for some retirement money, the broken and broke horseman agrees to kidnap the boss's 11-year-old son from his rich Mexican ex-wife. Things take an unexpected turn, however, when the ex-wife is all too glad to be rid of her juvenile delinquent.

The thing about Schwarzenegger is he went out on a low making really sh*tty movies like End of Days. This could be like Take That when they resurfaced and became a hit again.

I remember after seeing the expendables all people kept saying was that Schwarzenegger wasn't in it very long. He didn't even fire a gun. Yeah I was dissapointed about that 2. If they had Arnie onboard they wouldn't have needed the rest of the cast to take on that dictator general dude. He would have done the Job Commando style...

I man lot of people including myself still think he's great and have been waiting for this moment for a long time. I just hope he's return in Cry Macho is a strong performance, he needs this one to be a hit. Good luck to him.
