Captain America Gets New Costume in "The Avengers"Posted: April 29th, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
In "Captain America: The First Avengers," Chris Evans will play the character in the World War II era, but will transition to modern day for "The Avengers."
MTV caught up with the actor to find out if Captain America's suit will look different. "[It's a] new costume," he revealed. "I was worried because I started to get really attached to the old one. The first time we tried a new one on, I was like, 'Oh, I miss the old one.'"
"The Avengers" already started shooting in New Mexico under the direction of Joss Whedon (Serenity). The new film is scheduled to hit theaters on May 4th, 2012.

In other words, they'll scrap the US flag costume in favor of something far less 'offensive', because it's ok to like the US when we were kicking Nazi ass, but not so much now that we we won't sign Kyoto.

The new costume looks exactly the same as the old one, except tighter and more leathery with little red and white star patches on the shoulders. They released the concept art for it last year at comicon.

I doubt you even give a sh*t, Rabid. You're hardly even American, if at all.
You appeal to some silly notion that where you're born and under what system has no bearing on how you think and where you should place your loyalties, so for you, if they dressed Captain America up in Iranian flag colors, you wouldn't even blanche because you're far more preoccupied with gimmicky gadgets and lowbrow literature.
Like the word patriotism means anything to you but a good reason to laugh.

Soooooo where's the picture of the costume?
And Chris Evans is a bad actor for Capt America but the producers had to get some idiot jock because most of the leads in Hollywood for like a decade now are either British,Australian,Irish.

@band - plus they had to find a tool that would do this movie for only $300K and have his career tied up at Marvel's beckon call for 8 possibly movies after this.
