Thomas Jane in Sylvester Stallone's "Headshot"

Posted: April 18th, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Thomas Jane in Sylvester StalloneSubmit Comment
It was recently reported that Sylvester Stallone has brought on director Walter Hill (48 Hrs, The Warriors) to direct his upcoming "Headshot" movie.

In it, Stallone's character teams with a young NYPD detective in a high-stakes investigation that leads from the back alleys of New Orleans all the way to Washington, DC. The unlikely duo, brought together by two vicious murders, take on all who stand in their way, and are willing to sacrifice everything to exact revenge.

AITH has now learned that Thomas Jane (The Mist, Punisher) has signed to play the NYPD detective. "He's a hitman, I'm a cop, and we're just opposite in every f*cking way, and we need each other to get this job done," said the actor. "And of course I'm like, 'As soon as this job's over, I'm going to take you to jail, you know, you're a killer.'"

Filming is set to begin next month in Louisiana and New York.

I think Stallone and Jane will probably hug by the end of the movie.

Good choice glad they haven't gone with someone like Tatum.

Thomas Jane is fantastic choice. But i think they got it all wrong.

First they fire Kramer, now they want Thomas to be cop and Stallone assassin?This is typecasting.

It would be nice to have older cop (stallone) teaming with young assassin (jane). That way character dynamic would be more interesting

Would have preferred to see Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Jane is somewhat forgettable.
I'll still watch it.

Jane is supposed to be the YOUNG detective next to Sculptyface Stallone ?

Uhm, since when ?????

Thomas Jane in an action movie is a surefire way to sink the battleship, so to speak.

I mean, let's look at Jane's track record ... The Punisher ... Mutant Chronicles ... Give 'Em Hell, Harry! ... Killshot ... it's like he's the action genre's Ted McGinley ....

In fact, you could create a new game : Six Degrees of Straight to DVD with Thomas Jane.

@SeWerin

... sounds like a career twist on the movie, Assassins, which starred Stallone and Banderas ... whoa. Talk about a freshly laid turd.

@bandelero999

Well, compared to GHB-taking Nolte and "When the f*ck was I last funny?" Murphy, yeah ... It's nice to see someone from the cast and crew of 48 Hours still being employable and Hell .... still on top of their game!

@trailertrash

Well, let's face it ... Tater wouldn't even be good in Marky Mark's old role in a remake of The Corruptor .. he would be even more wooden.

Jesus ... in that photo .... Jane looks like the Punisher just disapproved of Microchip just ripping a wet fart.

I agree with most of u..Jane is awsome and im glad to see him back in action..the guys a good actor and cares about the fans.

Which is why he gave the studio the finger on doin the Punisher 2 sequel and told them it was sh*t!
minkowski writes:

Don't care for Jane. The dude has rarely ever given a commanding performance and the fact he's not used more often for leads should tell you he has no casting weight. And his Punisher blew. Terrible film.
SeWerin writes:

All Punisher films are terrible, yet Jane at least tried to act and put some performance in that. The script is where it sucked. He is the best movie punisher (which again isn't saying much).

I like Thomas Jane. Don't know why really. He seems like a cool dude.
LastActionHero writes:

He was a horrible Punisher, hopefully he is better at this.

yea Mutant Chronicles never came out on theaters so thats a sign.Thomas Jane reminds me of a younger beefed up American Christopher Lambert

Without the talent.

Yea christopher lambert is so talented his last movie in the theaters was mortal kombat and that was mid 90s.
