Nestor Carbonell May Return for "The Dark Knight Rises"Submit Comment
Variety has learned that Nestor Carbonell ("Lost") is in negotiations to reprise his role as Gotham's Mayor in Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises."

If the deal works out, Carbonell will be joining Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, Josh Pence and Daniel Sunjata.

Nolan, who penned the screenplay with his brother Jonathan, will begin shooting this summer in Pittsburgh. "The Dark Knight Rises" will hit theaters on July 20th, 2012.

IF the deal works out ?

I love Carbonell but I am pretty sure he can make some space in his schedule for the mutaf*ckin batman.

Oh thank God!!! The Dark Knight would have never succeeded if he weren't in it.

Way too many characters I hope there's no more batman after this one.

Nestor Carbonell ("Lost") is character #546 out 2.2 million that Nolan plans to cast in this final film

The Budget should bankrupt the studio unless Charlie Sheen can sell enough crack from his door to door tour of America

Stay tuned

Oh, stop overreacting, jackasses. There were just as many characters in Begins & TDK. Stop bitching just for the sake of bitching...........
Oh wait, this is the internet. That's what it's for.

A guy from suddenly susan is Gotham's Mayor. Big deal.

no Boogiel....Richard f*ckING Alpert is the Mayor of Gotham.
Or if you prefer....BATMANUEL.

While I agree that right now it looks like there are too many characters, Carbonell is going to be in the movie for a total five minutes if that. So it's not a big deal.

Jesus, Chris, you really move people.

I can't tell if this is Batman or a Hollywood celebrity funeral. All that black, all that darkness, all those f*cking actors!

f*ck Chris, are you going to cameo your mother as Bruce Wayne's grannie?

Why is everyone acting like the cast is so big? It's really not that many when you compare it to movies like Lord of the Rings and Watchmen or even Dark Knight. Plus, minor characters like Nestor's aren't likely to get/need much screen time.
Nolan has already proven that he can handle a movie with a wide scope

He should come back as his chacter from the short lived but funny as sh*t Tick live action show. BATMANUEL

Why not just call this "Batman's Eleven"?
Assclown writes:

People it's called a supporting cast. You wanna see a batman movie or any movie with just 4 maybe 5 actors in it.
