James Wan Says "Saw" Will ReturnPosted: April 13th, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
IGN caught up with "Saw" creators James Wan (director) and Leigh Whannell (writer/actor) at the Kapow Comic-Con in London to find out if there are any plans to continue the "Saw" franchise.
"I would say you can always count on capitalism," said Wan. "It is finished for now, but the fact that it's such a huge, well-known franchise, means that it's going to come back at some point."
And while Wan and Whannell have served as producers on each "Saw" installment after the original, IGN wanted to know about what it would take for them to return to the franchise. "I would come back if we were allowed to do something different and really cool," Wan replied.

"I would say you can always count on capitalism,"
...to rape the world.
There, fixed.

So, then, nothing Saw-related?

SAW: the musical. Thats the only thing I would want. Other than that, f*ck off Wan and go back to making sh*tty movies and stop trying to bring a sh*tty dead horse back to life.

Theres hope for Saw afterall!!! :D...... f*ck haters.... it has a dedicated fan base who most don't want to end on disapointing finale 7 (still a decent entry but not as strong as 6) Saw is awesome.... and theres a reason its the most successful horror franchise....

Wan is right though, give it a couple of years and we will have a reboot/remake.
And even if they have served as producers for all the sequels, I believe they had little to say. Just let the others do as they please and then just sit back and cash in.

Shut the f*ck up Amanda!!! Take your head out of your fartbox next time you watch a "Saw" movie so you can see the real pieces of sh*t.

Amanda- The only saw movie I'd watch is one with you in a room and any other retard who thinks Saw is the most successful horror franchise. Money means nothing, Miley Cyrus makes money doesn't mean she's a successful musician.

correction.. money does mean everything in movies. even though it should be story. to companies who decide to make movies, its money. and miley, like it or not, actually is successful, again.. look at the money.
ive enjoyed almost all the installments to be honest. some movies are meant to just be fun. the first was honestly a great stand alone film. the sequels made it fun. just like fast and the furious series.
fast and furious is made for guys. saw is made for people who like gore.
plus this guy made insidious. GREAT MOVIE!

Fast and the Furious sucks too. And it all depends on what you mean when you say 'successful'.

i hope it comes back. most of the haters haven't even seen the whole series past I or II. they just like making fun of it for what i can gather is the fact they make one every year and "it's just a gore fest orgy with no plot at all" (which is not at all accurate). you guys can think or say whatever you like, i know if there is an eighth Saw i'll be seeing it theaters.
