Dr. Hugo Strange is Main Villain in "The Dark Knight Rises"?Submit Comment
According to My Entertainment World website, which lists the latest movie production updates, Dr Hugo Strange may still be part of "The Dark Knight Rises" storyline. The site is accurate as far as shooting dates and alternate production names, so maybe there's some truth to Strange being involved.

The site states: "Dark Knight Rises, The (aka Magnus Rex and Fox Hills Green) - Mid June, 2011 - India and London, UK and New York, NY and Pittsburgh, PA; Story: As Batman deals with his new status as a wanted vigilante, Dr. Hugo Strange, a villainous psychiatrist, concocts a plan to destroy him and become the new Batman."

In related news, Daniel Sunjata ("Grey's Anatomy," "Rescue Me") is the latest actor to join the cast. No word on which role he will be playing.

I get the impression Nolan has plans to hire everyone he can just to make the credit roll longer than the actual film.

^Same here, I want a basic story outline, is that too much to ask for?

More villains to come in the following weeks such as

Lindsey Lohan as The Drunken Menace

Charlie Sheen plays The Crazy Cocaine Man

Nicolas Cage reprises his role as HI in Rasing Arizona and confuses batman with his trailer trash powers

Sounds too far fetched to me. Hell, it's even sound more like batman forever.

BadChad

Yes

Little Wayne as The Rapping Medussa

"Little Wayne as The Rapping Medussa"

That's reserved for Jaden Smith in the hip-hop version of Batman.

with Willow Smith as Dirty Cat Scat Woman

If there's any truth to it all, Strange would just be mixed with Bane. And that could work. Just as he combined Ducard and Ra's al Ghul, here he could combine two villains who actually succeeded in breaking Batman.
We know they have scenes at Arkham, and I'm pretty sure Scarecrow is no longer the bossman, so they'll need a character to run the place.

Rumors.
Judging by the cast, I say no. We got Bane, JGL as a villain, Marion Cottilard (most likely) as a villain and that face double/stand in from Social Network as a young Ras Al Ghul. I highly doubt Nolan would want another f*cking villain in the film. Seriously, there's too much already. Plus we have Hathaway as Catwoman and that needs some characterization.

You know you'd hit it.

And that makes villain number 16 in the League Of Shadows introductory meeting scene. Jesus, this flick is gonna be 5 hours long at this rate.

And Nolan, have you been reading Robin Williams' interviews lately??? He wants in on this film too!!!

just because these characters are in the movie doesnt mean they will all be villains.

talia, bane, and holiday will most likely be the main villains.

ras im sure will appear in flashbacks or something involving talia. either way he'll be tied in tightly to talia. same way harley quinn would be with the joker for example.

hugo strange, while i believe he may actually be a villain, he could also just be the new bossman of arkham. he could be kinda that easter egg for a possible batman 4.

talia, though she started as a villain, she became an allie of batman when she fell in love with him. now depending on if catwoman is a love interest or just a sidekick they could or could not go this rought. but if so, then i could see her being one of the opening villains but eventually becomes a good guy.

my thing is, is that to fit the persona, maturity, crime villain categories.

bane and holiday are automatically taken. then both talia and hugo strange would fit maturity. and with the way batman must take back his hero mantle i could see nolan bending the rules to bring in 2 characters to mature batman. talia being first half and hugo the second half. or possibly viseversa.

also im sure scarecrow will be back, probably locked up in arkham. but im sure he will still be back.

dont worry, batman begins included zsasz, the twins, and more in nothing more then scenes at arkham. scarecrow and possibly hugo (if they dont make him a villain or even if they do) may never leave arkham asylum.

Officially a terrible joke. Not caring about this movie anymore. Warner's must have hijacked it.

don't believe this for a second guys, it's total bullsh*t. 4 villains? yeah f*cking right. even Spider-man 3 wasn't that moronic. if he even IS in the film, it won't be for long. and i seriously doubt this news is true.
phetburton writes:

could b true since they r going with a similar story on the upcoming game "Arkham City"
encoreyourface writes:

the game and the movie aren't anything close to related.
phetburton writes:

didnt say they were, just sayin that since they r introducin Dr. Strange in the game to ppl who dont or might not know who he is, it could b for a reason :)

Sooo, let's recap, shall we? That's Catwoman, Bane, Ra's Al Ghul, Alberto Falcone, and now (maybe Dr. Strange) appearing as villains. I know it's Nolan/Bale's last Batman flick, but it seems like cramming for finals. Just one or maybe two villains would have been better. That way the film can still be as strong as "The Dark Knight". Too many villains is going to be too distracting, and detract from the storytelling.
