Another Wyatt Earp Film in the Works

Another Wyatt Earp Film in the WorksSubmit Comment
About a month ago, it was reported that Val Kilmer is starring in a Western called "The First Ride of Wyatt Earp," which is currently filming in California and revolves around an elderly Earp sitting down with a reporter to reflect on the ride that made him a legend.

Now comes word that another Wyatt Earp project is now in the works. The new one is called "wild Guns," which is a Warner Bros picture centering on Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday attempting to free Sitting Bull's kidnapped daughter from a shaman.

Warners just confirmed that it acquired the script for the film from writer TS Nowlin, who also recently sold "Columbus" that McG (Terminator Salvation) is attached to helm.

I was forced to watch Wyatt Earp the other night and I have to say it was nothing compared to Tombstone

Big-

I liked Tombstone as well , Not seen Costners Wyatt Earp never really fancied watching it, Even with such a good cast and Lawrence Kasdan directing.

You can't beat Gunfight at the O.K. Corral with Lancaster, Douglas and a young dennis Hopper, Directed by the great John Sturges.

Still stands the test of time IMO

'...Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday attempting to free Sitting Bull's kidnapped daughter.' --- 'free' her? More like 'rape' her I'll bet. There goes whitey again, fuc*in over the redskins!

@Big Daddy-
agreed. I effing love Tombstone. I've honestly seen that movie over a hundred times (I literally almost watched this movie every night for over a year...just watched it again 3 nights ago). I watch it w/e I drink, and I drink a lot.

and Kevin Costner's Earp aint got sh*t on Kurt russel's....And Dennis Quad's Doc shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Val's.

As a historical standpoint, Wyatt Earp was more accurate. Thats about the only thing its got going for it.

Don't forget to include Shatner and Nimoy as Clanton and McLaury acting as the mercenaries who kidnap Sitting Bull's daughter for the Shaman. Might as well complete this fantasy casting.
