"Wonder Woman" Uses Syringe Instead of Lasso of Truth?

"Wonder Woman" Uses Syringe Instead of Lasso of Truth?Submit Comment
Today we have photos of Adrianne Palicki (Legion) shooting scenes for her "Wonder Woman" TV series, showing the actress apprehending a criminal and then injecting him in the neck with a hypodermic syringe. Check out the photos below.

Here is how the script describes that scene: "And suddenly, a golden cord of sorts shoots out - about sixty feet - seemingly from her hand; lighting-fast it collars the fleeing suspect and clotheslines him; he lands on his back with a thud. With one pull, she yanks him in like a dead fish, as fast as a recoiling tape-measure. While he's unconscious, she quickly pats him down, then plunges a hypodermic needle into his neck. Tourists quickly converge, snapping pictures, begging for autographs. Wonder Woman then picks up her unconscious prey, slings him over her shoulder, just as the police charge in."

While she uses her Lasso of Truth to stop the criminal, it seems that the lasso doesn't do the "Truth" part. I'm assuming that producers instead decided to have Wonder Woman inject people with the truth serum to make them talk.

The first time Wonder Woman's been on Prime Time since Linda Carter and they've got her wearing blue sweatpants, pumping bad guys full of truth serum and running around like she's Evelyn Salt ?

Are these producers intentionally trying to f*ck up ? I mean they did it once with Bionic Woman ... twice with Knight Rider ... this must be the f*ckup trifecta ....

Wow, this might as well as have been on FX.

That way, when it gets cancelled over one season someone can try to make the argument that it's because people aren't watching it, but the critics love it (sarcasm).

Yeah, because when I think of Wonder Woman, I automatically think of drug user.

It's either this or pulling a "Guantanamo Bay" or "Abu Grahib" on them.

d*ck Cheney must be the secret "interrogating specialist" they hired for the show.

Serum of truth? With all her f*cking wrinkles, Palicki should carry a syringe of botox.

Neither do human intestines, but that's the average length...

What's worse, the fact that somebody pitched a Wonder Woman show like this, or the fact that somebody higher up said "Great. Let's do that."?

Actually, it's half that length, about 7.5 meters or 28 feet or so. Moron.

"Wonder Woman" Uses Syringe Instead of Lasso of Truth?

Roughly translated, Wonder Woman likes it hard in the asre.

Will check out first episode but I don't see it lasting that long.

I bet she never changes that hypodermic needle. She's gonna give that guy AIDs.

I can't wait to see if Wonder Woman flies around in an invisible jet. I always thought it was funny seeing Linda Carter fly around in that. Hey, we can still see you sweetheart! Incredibly stupid concept unless the jet cloaks you as well. But of course you wouldn't be able to see Wonder Woman anymore - I guess these realities didn't translate well in comic book form back in the 1940s when WW was created.

Cool, she just looks like an idiot in an ugly costume with a syringe... Recipe for success. Please everyone take notes, this is how TV is done.

I give it 4 episodes before it's cancelled.
rabid writes:

It's NBC. They're going to air whatever they pay for. They know there's not a soul watching The Cape, but they haven't killed it yet. Because they don't have a backup plan.
The last 4 big scifi projects they did were thought to be a sure thing and were complete messes.
