Hugh Jackman on Replacing Darren Aronofsky in "Wolverine 2"

Hugh Jackman on Replacing Darren Aronofsky in "Wolverine 2"Submit Comment
The sequel to "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" seems to be in trouble after the Japan disaster and Darren Aronofsky dropping out. But Hugh Jackman is positive the project will get back on track soon, mostly because he is tired of his exercise routine and diet.

"So now we're out looking for a director. We were pretty much ready to go," said the actor. "The script is fantastic — the best we've ever had, which is why it attracted Darren in the first place. His personal situation precludes him from doing it now, and I feel for him. But now we need to find a director."

Jackman continued: "We're not going to settle. We're going to find a director as good as Darren, if not better. Well, as good. Everyone is still pushing forward to getting it done. I can't be eating too many more chicken breasts."

May have been worried that 20th Century Fox will simply hire some rookie director to meet the July start-date. That doesn't seem to be the case, since Jackman has a say in who will direct the sequel and it looks like the actor is only interested in quality helmers.

Hey I started that rumor! And guess what? I'm right. Just wait and see, Fox will do it again.

I thought it said Jackman replacing Aronofsky, and then I thought, why the hell not? Couldn't get any more f*cked at this point. Hell, have FOX's janitor do it. Or even worse, call up Bret Ratner.

Hugh Jackman may think he's got some saying, but in the end FOX will do as they please. They always do.

How many quality directors does Hugh Jackman know then? Hugh might as well just ask for a cameo in X Men origins so he can pose with his muscle then he can go back to being a real actor or whatever.
