Pixar has unveiled the plot, voice cast and the first concept art for the studio's 13th feature-length film, called "Brave," which is set to hit conventional and 3D theaters on June 22nd, 2012. Check out the art below.

Plot: "Brave" is set in the mystical Scottish Highlands, where Merida is the princess of a kingdom ruled by King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson). An unruly daughter and an accomplished archer, Merida one day defies a sacred custom of the land and inadvertently brings turmoil to the kingdom. In an attempt to set things right, Merida seeks out an eccentric old Wise Woman (Julie Walters) and is granted an ill-fated wish.

Also figuring into Merida's quest and serving as comic relief are the kingdom's three lords: the enormous Lord MacGuffin (Kevin McKidd), the surly Lord Macintosh (Craig Ferguson), and the disagreeable Lord Dingwall (Robbie Coltrane).

Reese Witherspoon was previously attached to voice Merida, but due to a scheduling conflict, she was replaced with Kelly Macdonald (No Country for Old Men).

Wow! A lot of Scottish talent in this film. I'm actually kind of excited now.

I'm sitting here reading this and wishing that Sean Connery at least makes a cameo appearance, but I know that's highly unlikely. Oh well...

Connery could make a cameo, with his good buddy Billy involved plus it's set in Scotland and the last couple of projects he's had have been voice overs, You never know.

"Sequel to Incredbles instead" I don't know why they didn't do that, probably the only Pixar film that warranted a sequel. But no they decide to make a sequel to IMO the worst Pixar film... Cars. Toy Story 3 was another example of them selling out probably crumbling under the pressure of Disney.

This film could be cool, I wasn't sure what route Pixar would go down when they'd animated every animal and inanimate object in the world it only makes sense that they start using real people now. The best films were The Incredibles & Up where you could relate to the human emotions not f*cking Owen Wilson as a car with eyes.

cars did suck but toy story 3 was really good and a satisfying ending

incredibles 2 needs to happen
