Trailer: Antonio BanderasSubmit Comment
Anchor Bay Films has unveiled the trailer for "The Big Bang," starring Antonio Banderas, William Fichtner, James Van Der Beek, Snoop Dogg, Sam Elliott and Delroy Lindo. Check out the trailer below and check out the film in select theaters on May 13th.

Plot: Late one night, Los Angeles private investigator Ned Cruz (Banderas) gets a visit from a recently paroled Russian boxer with an intriguing job offer: find Lexie, his missing girlfriend and the $30 million stash of diamonds she's hiding. As Detective Cruz sets out to find her, the clues send him into the city's seediest corners, from a Hollywood action star with a dirty little secret (Van Der Beek), to an enterprising porn producer who takes a personal interest in his own work (Snoop Dogg), and a kinky waitress with an unusual fetish for particle physics (Autumn Reeser).

Lexie proves to be as elusive as she is beautiful and Cruz becomes obsessed with finding her. With time running out, Cruz discovers the trail leads to reclusive billionaire (Elliott), and his physicist (Jimmi Simpson), intent on recreating The Big Bang underneath the New Mexico desert. Tailed by a trio of cops also looking to find the missing diamonds, and with the body count piling up, Cruz soon realizes that what appeared to be a standard missing person's case is anything but, and could quite possibly bring about the end of the world as we know it.

Seems like they trying to mix Southland Tales with Tarantino. I'll give it a shoot...

stay away, this movie is toxic. there is no bigger waste of time and effort with a "used to be a big name" actor than this. even lorenzo lamas has better projects now - megashark vs giant octopus!!!

Looks like Smokin Aces and Lock Stock with SF elements.....but hey! It has William Fitchner!

There's too many characters I foresee to give a sh*t. But it looks very much Tarantino, so it might be a breath of fresh air??

I doubt Snoopaloop has seen any of Hitchc*cks films.

Don't forget Hitchc*ck is a leytonstone boy Cinema. They have more in common than you think, lol

1. Plus: William Fichtner. Minus: William Fichtner, who has been in so many sh*tty films, it's a wonder his resume doesn't smell like my ass.

2. Double minus: James van der Beek.

3. Minus: Antonio Banderas, who hasn't had a truly good film since Deserado, which was also his last truly thrilling gig.

4. Major plus: particle physics, so some sci-fi elements.

5. Double minus: already has a 5.5 on IMDb. WAAAAY late there Alex.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1307873/

6. Quadruple negative: directed by Tony Krantz who hasn't even made much of any movies, but from what I can tell, what he has made is all garbage.

7. KO: The writer, who hasn't written d*ck but a few Band of Brother eps.

8. You know you're in sh*t land: Delroy Lindo, who was once cool, but isn't cool now, appears.

As does 'I'm A Western Whore' Sam Elliott.

Icing on the cake: Sienna Guillory and Snoop Dogg are on the cast list.

Make what you will of that.

Haha yeah true the ghetto is the same no matter where you are.

I know when all hope is lost for movies and they've remade every remake and milked the money cow dry on every franchise and useless idea of all time... I'll still have my Hitchc*ck. The master of cinema, using the camera as part of the narrative, film makers don't go that deep now days.

TALK about a washed up cast ensemble about a decade too late for them to shine again with the exception of Fichnter who was in Drive ANgry but the movie bombed nasty and he's down to making low budget movies

Very true, trailer, especially the pornographic ones.

And by the by, this film...it features a physicist who's trying to recreate the event that made the universe, and under some street somewhere. Stretching credulity a bit?

*spoiler* oh they do the big bang, and results make sucker punch look like a doc*mentary about looney bin. i saw this movie about a month ago, they are trying too hard to be cool and innovative, it fails sooo badly.
