"Clash of the Titans 2" Reveals Full Cast and Plot SummarySubmit Comment
Warner Bros has announced that principal photography has started on the sequel to "Clash of the Titans," which is directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Battle: Los Angeles) and set to hit theaters on March 30th, 2012. The announcement added that Bill Nighy and Danny Huston have joined the cast. A plot summary has also been provided.

Plot: A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus (Sam Worthington) the demigod son of Zeus (Liam Neeson) is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius.

Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Dangerously weakened by humanity's lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades (Ralph Fiennes) and Poseidon (Huston). The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld.

Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus' godly son, Ares (Edgar Ramirez), switch loyalty and make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus. The Titans' strength grows stronger as Zeus' remaining godly powers are siphoned, and hell is unleashed on earth.

Enlisting the help of the warrior Queen Andromeda (Rosamund Pike), Poseidon's demigod son, Argenor (Toby Kebbell), and fallen god Hephaestus (Bill Nighy), Perseus bravely embarks on a treacherous quest into the underworld to rescue Zeus, overthrow the Titans and save mankind.

You know, I didn't hate the first one, and Sam W isn't exactly blowing my skirt up as an actor, but at least it wasn't Prince of Persia bad. Basically a true popcorn flick.

(just so you know, I so wanted to say something critical)

So now there wil be actual titans unlike the first one in which they didn't even mention them but called it Clash of the TITANS anyway.

^^The first was a loose remake of the 1981 film, also titled Clash of the Titans.

From IMDb:

Why are there no Titans in the movie?

Despite the title, none of the 12 mythological Titans appear in this movie. A better title for the movie might have been Clash of the Olympians, although Titans may have been preferred for two reasons: (1) the public could have been confused into thinking the movie was about Olympian athletes rather than Greek gods, or (2) since synonyms for "titans" include "greats" or "giants", the clash may refer to either the disagreements between the great Greek gods or the attack of the giant Kraken on Argos and Joppa. In fact, in one scene when the Stygian witches advise Perseus to use Medusa's head to kill the Kraken, one witch excitedly proclaims the match-up between the Kraken and Medusa's head to be "a Titan against a Titan!!!", although neither Kraken nor Medusa are Titans themselves.

I didnt think the first was terrible, nor did I even give a sh*t about it to be honest.

I think Letterier is a decent director and I did enjoy the new Hulk with Ed Norton.

Sam Worthingtons alright.. He has been nothing but adequate in most of his films, but thats just it... At least this wasn't Prince of Persia.

Holy f*ck, it was either sh*t my pants or break my tv 5 minutes after putting that steaming pile of donkey d*cks in the player.

Absolutely the worst film I watched in 2010... THAT AAAND the new James L Brooks film, which i think was more disappointing than anything. Because of the talent behind it.

Already sounds better than the first one, like the majority im not a fan of worthington, but he said himself that the first one could and should have been a hell of a lot better, criticizing his own performance over anyone else, so at least the guy knows where he's goin wrong and isn't to egotistical to ignore it but actually work on it, only time will tell but i've got hope fore this one.

Sounds good, but of course so did "Crap of the Tits" and the turned into a big turd of 3D size.

If they cut the 3D and concentrate on the action scenes and make them truly epic they could redeem the series.

I'm sorry but first one was absolute garbage. I'm big fan of Liam, Ralph and greek mythology, but this movies does it's best to take biggest pile on sh*t everything mythology related. Hell even Percy Jackson and Olympians payed more respect to details and homages to greek mythology and that movie was bad... This story sounds interesting but again, as long as it has Sam W. as lead it will be sh*t
batdump writes:

story sounds good. and i didn't hate the first one.

just make a crazy blood soaked GoW movie and call it a day. Kratos is a better character than perseus anyway.

they can do a clash/Gow crossover and have Kratos kill perseus as he did in Gow2.

Kratos character will be in the new mortal kombat video game which has nothing to do with the game at all.He should of been in the next Soul Calibur game

Kratos was in the PSP soul caliber. i think he works for mk cast. he's not actually a part of the story just a bonus and the gameplay footage i have seen looks pretty sweet
