Justin Bieber's "Never Say Never" Surpasses Michael Jackson's "This Is It"

"Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" has now surpassed Michael Jackson's "This Is It" to become the most successful concert-themed movie at the domestic box office. Through Sunday, Justin Bieber had earned $72.2 million, while "This Is It" grossed $72.1 million domestically.

"This Is It" still holds the worldwide record, having grossed $189.1 million overseas for a global total of $261.2 million. Bieber's movie didn't even come close, having earned only $10.8 million internationally.

Paramount insiders believe "Never Say Never" could ultimately earn $20 million internationally. So far, the movie has done best in Latin America, where Bieber's fan base is strongest. To compare, Jonas Brothers' concert film took $4 million overseas. Miley Cyrus earned $5 million.

Michael Jackson wouldn't mind. He always had a thing for little boys singing soprano.

But no, no, this is just sad.

@hunter

As much as I enjoyed it...

What a waste of some good movies footage.

When asked about this information Justin asked "Who's Michael jackson?".
I swear the kid really doesn't know who the f*ck he is. To him, legends are people like Usher.

And this is why couples in China want boys. So they don't have to deal with this bullsh*t.

After completing the article, it said that it only earned 10 million internationally. At least the eastern hemisphere has the right amount of brain cells to avoid this 15 minute fad.

f*ck this headline.

Domestic means sh*t when compared to international! WTF?!

Jackson still holds the record (and deservedly so). Bieber should do lesbian porn like he was meant to do.

sh*tty reporting. A couple of paragraphs comparing apples to oranges.

The only apples to apples is the domestic ticket take. Other than that... Bieber 'internationally' vs. Jackson's 'global' (which we'll assume INCLUDES domestic.

The person at THR that wrote this sh*t-sliding mess should have a firecracker shoved up their ass (and by firecracker I mean a stick of dynamite and by ass I mean their mouth).

So i'll be the first to apologize for that. And Celine Dion.
Sorry.

"I know grown women went to see this movie 2-4 times..'

Then they aren't 'grown' IMO.

I wouldn't even touch a woman that told me she went to see Bieber's 'film', nor would I do anything less than beat the sh*t out of some dude that told me he went to see Twilight alone.

"But it was us Canadians that helped spawn this lesbo. So i'll be the first to apologize for that. And Celine Dion. Sorry."

And James Cameron.

You Canucks are really f*cking us up down here. But OTOH you have good hockey, so...
Zeroguy writes:

Well Cameron did give the world Terminator, one of the best sci-fi films from the 80s. And he is the only man to ever make the perfect sequel. Twice.
It wasn't until the 90s that f*cked him up. And now he's making bankable sh*te.

BTW, sorry for Nickelback.
But you're welcome for the good indie/alt rock music ie Arcade Fire.

The only thing Usher was missing was the Jesus Juice and the gay porn.

Of course, considering Usher's latest divorce, you never know ....

1. This Is It was on limited release at the cinema and if you look at the figures you'll see that in the USA alone This Is It was ahead of Never Say Never on its last day of release.

2. Never Say Never is in 3D so the higher ticket prices give it an extra boost at the box office.

3. Michael Jackson was innocent and anybody who thinks otherwise either knows nothing about him whatsoever other than reading a few tabloid stories or is a total retard who also doesn't believe he had vitiligo even though it was proven by a police doctor in 1993 as well as by the coroner when he died. The evidence of his innocence is overwhelming while any evidence of guilt is non-existent. The fact that nobody has been convicted of manufacturing evidence is shocking. (Some "evidence" in the trial were (heterosexual and legal) porno mags that had Gavin Arvizo's fingerprints on them. The problem with this "evidence" was that not only were the magazines published well AFTER the last time Gavin was at Neverland but they were also first tested for fingerprints AFTER they were handled by Gavin during the Grand Jury pre-trial!)

4. Michael Jackson was, is and always will be the King Of Pop! (I was going to say "King Of Music" but then no doubt someone would point out that he's not the king of Outer-Mongolian folk music or something.)
