Qaddafi's Son Funds Mickey Rourke's "The Ice Man"

Al-Saadi Qaddafi, the 37-year-old son of Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi, has invested $100 million into a Los Angeles film production fund called Natural Selection, which will produce 20 films over the next five years.

One of the first projects is "The Ice Man," which has Mickey Rourke in the lead. Another film being funded is "Isolation," a thriller starring Susan Sarandon's daughter, Eva Amurri.

It is expected that Qaddafi won't have too much trouble in Hollywood despite having a connection to Muammar Qaddafi and Libya, which is in the middle of a revolt that has already left hundreds dead.

Meanwhile, Qaddafi's other son, Saif Al-Islam, recently threatened that "rivers of blood" would flow unless the uprising ends.

They won't give a damn where the money came from. They'll take it. It's Hollywood. They accept anyone's money.

I thought mickey rourke was out of the project and was gonna pull his teeth out to make the blowjob scenes for the rugby player character more realistic.

As long as he doesn't give the money to uwe boll to f*ck another video game franchise or the dictator of korea kim jon

So is the name spelled Qaddafi or Gadhafi?

SAC Iv'e been wondering the same thing, seen it plenty both ways.

I think taking his money as an investment regardless of his background is an awfully Republican thing to do. Which is odd coming out of Democratic Hollywood. Repubocractic *ssholes.

Also Eva Amurri is a hot Susan Sarandon. Also Susan Sarandon is a hot Susan Sarandon.

Big deal. Al-Saadi isn't his father, he's a business man looking to move his nation closer to the west (europe) and the 21st century.

He's far more progressive than his father, and the fact he's investing in films means little, so long as he doesn't add to the Hollywood anti-American sentiment.

I really dislike when people are illiterate. Muammar al-Gaddafi is correct spelling and it's embarrassing to misspell the headline. Don't care for the news but it's poor journalism to have main subject of an article and a headline mistaken.
