Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio Re-Team for "Wolf of Wall Street"Submit Comment
Martin Scorsese has replaced Ridley Scott as the director of "The Wolf of Wall Street," which will be his latest collaboration with star Leonardo DiCaprio. "Sopranos" writer Terry Winter wrote the adaptation of Jordan Belfort's memoir.

The book follows a drug, alcohol, and sex-addicted brokerage firm operator's rise and fall from multi-millionaire in the eighties to federal-convict banned from the securities business for life in 1994 for offences related to stock market manipulation.

"After almost four years in development, I can't begin to tell you how thrilled I am to finally be working with Leo and Marty on this," said Belfort. "They're the ultimate Dream Team, and it was definitely worth the wait."

The plan is to begin shooting as early as June.

"Re-Team"? When did they stop?

It sounds an awful lot like Oliver Stone's 'Wall Street'.

So far so good.

mash- Does sound like Wall Street but i don't think Scorse or Leo would make it unless it was completely different.

These two should just get married and make it official. Jesus.

These two should start seeing other people. They give new meaning to the word co-dependency.

Until they do a bad project together, I don't think we have any reason to worry.

And this seems different from Wall Street in that Wall Street was about corporate corruption, greed, etc and this seems more about the destructive lifestyle that came with being a WS man in the 80s (the coke, sex, alcohol, etc). Kind of like Mad Men on speed.

Its funny how Dicaprio has become Scorsese's new DeNiro. Carefull Leo you might be staring in Meet the great great grandparents in 30 years.

Huh...seems like this movie was destined to be a re-teaming effort. If Ridley Scott ended up directing the thing, it would just entail the requisite casting of Russell Crowe.
