Irrfan Khan to Play Pivotal Role in "Amazing Spider-Man"

Irrfan Khan to Play Pivotal Role in "Amazing Spider-Man"Submit Comment
Back in December it was reported that Irrfan Khan (Slumdog Millionaire) was cast in "The Amazing Spider-Man" as Nels Van Adder, an employee of Normal Osbourne who served as a test subject for a chemical that turned him into the evil Proto-Goblin, a red beast with fangs and claws.

Khan then told Indian Express that he first turned down the role because he didn't want to be part of "this violent American fantasy," but eventually took the job as long as he didn't have to be a masked villain or become another creature.

Judging by that statement, it likely means that he won't play Van Adder, but he now confirmed to NDTV that he will be playing the villain and have a pivotal role in the movie. "Marc Webber had seen me and wanted to work with me and he approached me for this role," Khan explained. "I play one of the villains in the movie. It is a pivotal role."

That's right, Khan doesn't know the director's name.

Isn't this the same article we had two weeks ago?
I still think he's playing Dr. Octopus and not Proto-Goblin, despite what he says. If it follows the comics, Octavius is the one who developed the mutant spider that bit Peter.

What a bizarre role for him. I don't know if this will work.

With any luck, he'll be reincarnated as a toilet plunger.

^^^It was already mentioned in the f*cking news story!

"That's right, Khan doesn't know the director's name."

Doesn't look like you've dropped either of your balls yet.
