Gerard Butler Signs On for "How to Train Your Dragon" SequelSubmit Comment
The sequel to "How to Train Your Dragon" has been waiting for Gerard Butler to decided whether he wants to return for it. Empire magazine has now caught up with co-director Dean DeBlois, who confirmed that Butler is now on board along with the rest of the voice cast, which includes Jay Baruchel, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Jonah Hill, TJ Miller and Kristen Wiig.

"What I presented to them was the second act of a much larger story," he said. "So the film takes on much more breadth, it's really quite epic. We leave the first film with these Vikings on the backs of dragons, so the world just opens up and expands exponentially."

The sequel is planned for a 2013 release and will be part of at least a trilogy. A weekly "How to Train Your Dragon" animated series is also set to premiere in 2012 on Cartoon Network.

^^no.

"so the world just opens up and expands exponentially."

That statement makes no f*cking sense. It's empty hyperbole. Like these films.

@Dre-EL
Yes, it's really worth it. Deserves an Oscar more than "Toy Story 3".

@sc_kg: pfff, yeah right... Also Sam Worthington deserved to be nominated for his amazing performance in Clash of The Titans and Megan Fox for Jennifer's Body...

Loved HTTYD! Best animated movie in last few years and definietly the best one of 2010. Beats Toy Story 3 by a mile.
