Tupac Shakur Biopic to be Filmed This SummerSubmit Comment
Morgan Creek Productions has announced that the upcoming biopic of Tupac Shakur, called "Tupac," is scheduled to begin filming in late spring/early summer with "Training Day" director Antoine Fuqua at the helm.

The new movie chronicles the life and legacy of Tupac, including his rise to superstardom as a hip hop artist and actor, as well as his imprisonment and prolific, controversial time at Death Row Records, where he was steeped in the East coast/West coast rap war.

In her support of the biopic of her late son, Afeni Shakur-Davis said: "I am confident that Morgan Creek will stay true to the common goal we share of depicting Tupac's life in a way that will allow the world to see the authenticity of his artistry, his hopes, and his life goals."

"Tupac" is currently being cast, but filming is already scheduled to take place in Los Angeles, New York, Georgia and Las Vegas.

dave-

Jucie was good movie, Dont know if you have seen that.

He seems to have released more albums since his death than he did while he was alive.

Maybe those rumors about him still being alive are true. lol

Tupac used to rap about politics and current issues now you get c*nts like 50 cent and Drake talking about sex and money. Hip hop died with cinema. Biggie smalls film was about 2 percent accurate the only true part being his name and shoe size, the rest of that drug dealer sh*t couldn't have been farther from the truth he was a rich boy. If any one deserves a biopic it's Tupac, legend R.I.P

There has been Talk of Stallone making a movie about the night 2pac was shot in Vegas, But that seems to have died a death (no pun intended).

Can't stand 50 cent and all that sh*t that's out today.

Snoop Dog Doggy Style was one of the last good rap album IMO

@tt

LOL nice one.

Tupac was a true artist and a great poet - Until the end of time, Ghetto Gospel. He also was f*cked up in the head.

They can make a great movie based on his life. The problem is most likely they won't.

@TT: LMAO, epic comment, epic!!!!

Seriously, Tupac was the only rapper I used to enjoy listening too. All the others are simply a joke, look at their names, Lil wayne, 50 Cent, Justin Bieber.

I don't support films that cultivate and glorify democide and self-destruction. That is all.

@trailer

Name rings a bell, don't think I have seen it, might give it a go.

You are right about the albums too...lol

Not a huge fan of Tupac's work but I can admire his stuff..guess the older rappers are the good ones.

50Cent can just f*ck right off!!! overrated c*nt!!
