Sylvester Stallone Stars in "Headshot" Action Film

Sylvester Stallone Stars in "Headshot" Action FilmSubmit Comment
Despite getting ready to begin filming "The Expendables" sequel in the summer, THR is reporting that Sylvester Stallone has signed on to star in "Headshot" as a New Orleans hitman who teams with a New York City cop.

The action film will be directed by Wayne Kramer (Running Scared, The Cooler) from a script by Alessandro Camon (The Messenger). The plan is to begin shooting in May in Louisiana and New York.

In the movie, Stallone's character teams with a young NYPD detective in a high-stakes investigation that leads from the dingy back alleys of New Orleans all the way to the power corridors of Washington, DC. The unlikely duo, brought together by two vicious murders, take on all who stand in their way, and are willing to sacrifice everything to exact revenge.

"Sylvester Stallone Stars in 'Headshot' Action Film"

Not to be confused with "Mugshot" starring Shia LaBeouf, or "c*mshot" also starring Shia LaBeouf and his captive gang of bros.

They could just do a doc*mentary on Stallone's rhinoplasty and call it " Mount Rushmore Speaks ".

after the sh*t that was The Expendables I aint watching nothing with Sly that doesn't have Rambo or Rocky in it's name.

Bring in Kurt Russell. It could be a tango and cash sequel.

What's this sh*t? How about he teams up with an old NYPD detective with the name Schwarzenegger. And they kill everyone from the dingy back alleys of New Orleans all the way to the power corridors of Washington, DC.

what about 'death wish' remake?
trailertrash writes:

Rambo-

He has been linked with that remake for a while now.

This sounds a bit B movie or TVM to me and i thought he had moved away from those types of films (Avenging Angelo, Get Carter, D Tox).

Stick to The Expendables 2 Sly this is a step backwards.

@-TT

Get Carter went to the big screen.

Dre-El

I did know it had a US cinema release, but not here in the UK, Same as D-Tox (all be it for 6 days).

I was just using that as an example of the B grade movies he made in the early 2000's and then came back with Rocky Balboa, Rambo and The Expendables, Which put him back on the A list again.

He should just go straight to Expendables 2 and go for all out action with Willis (bad guy), Statham etc etc and forget all about this movie.

What they should do with this story is turn it into a Cobra sequel and bring back,

Lieutenant Marion Cobretti !!

"Stick to The Expendables 2 Sly this is a step backwards"

This definitely won't have the action of the Expendables for sure, judging by both the writer and the director. Don't expect high-octane scenes. Thnnk: Copland.

I guess Stallone has to do these films in order to get financing for other flicks, though why he doesn't finance films like Expendables, sure money films, on the back of his established franchise movies, I have no idea.

I guess so Mink , I really liked Copland though, thought Stallone held his own with a pretty strong cast of actors.

No matter how good or bad Expendables 2 is it will make money no doubt about it and i'm sure Stallone could raise the budget himself.

TT

I had no idea Get Carter didnt have a UK cinema release, they made such a big deal about it in Jamaica i just i thought it was world wide.

I never thought i'd see the day when stallone was doing straight to video movies like Segal and Van Damme, I agree he should quit doing lame sh*t and whip out a good sequel.
How about:
Demolition Man 2
Cliffhanger 2
Tango & Cash 2
Any movie with John Lithgow as the bad guy.

It should have a cinema release here being as it was a remake of a British Cinema Classic in the first place.

But it didn't get good reviews and a poor performance at the US box office they just decided not to release in the cinema. It may have been in London's west end for a week or two not sure on that, there are no uk boxoffice figures or release dates listed

Any of those sequels would be very welcome, the action genre is the only time i don't mind seeing sequels in fact more the merrier IMO.

Cliffhanger 2 would be the one i would like to see the most.

Cliffhanger was a great film
