Did Steve Jobs Test the iPad in "The Incredibles"? Posted: January 29th, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
While promoting their "Make It So - Learning from Sci-Fi Interfaces" book at Macworld, Chris Noessell and Nathan Shedroff stated that Apple CEO Steve Jobs tested the concept of the iPad in "The Incredibles," a full six years before the first announcement of the device. And three years before the iPhone. The duo study how some sci-fi gadgets eventually appear in the real world and believe that Jobs knew exactly what he was doing when he presented an iPad-like gadget in front of million of movie-goers. The goal was to eventually release the iPad to customers who would already be somewhat familiar with the product. While anything is possible, my guess is that Jobs wasn't testing anything, especially since similar devices have appeared in other movies. Then again, maybe Jobs thought it would be a great product one day, but didn't have a clear idea of the many uses for it. Take a look at the video below and let us know if you agree with the theory.

So is the Ipad gonna Self Destruct too? One can only hope. I bet that's what gave him the idea.

That's a big assumption, and we know what happens when you assume....
Also star trek was a testing ground for Motorola and a Bluetooth device

Flat displays are as old as the f*cking window. It's a recurring device, from the first stone tablets to the Ipad.

So people don't know that tablet PCs existed before the iPad then? (I don't know if any of them had the same sort of touchscreen though.)
