John Travolta in Talks for "Gotti" BiopicSubmit Comment
Fiore Films has revealed that the company is in talks with John Travolta to star as New York City mob boss John Gotti in the upcoming "Gotti" biopic.

"We would love to have him," Fiore told Entertainment Weekly. "He's a terrific actor. John Gotti, Sr. he's an icon. And so is Travolta. The Gottis have an image already. People know who they are. You can't just be a good actor, you have to be a great actor who can become John Gotti."

The film is about three generations of the crime family, but will be told through the eyes of Gotti's son John Gotti Jr. Fiore is finalizing a deal with Nick Cassavetes (The Notebook, John Q) to direct. James Franco is also in talks for a supporting role.

The plan is to begin filming during the summer and Fiore is already comparing the film to another famous mobster film. "It's going to be the new 'Godfather,'" said the company. "It's a story about a father and a son, but the father happens to be John Gotti Sr."

"It's going to be the new 'Godfather"

There's only ONE godfather, f*cker. If anything, this will be the new Kings of South Beach.

well at least it aint Will Smith wanting to be Gotti since Annies not gonna be ginger anymore, why the hell is James Franco in every thread he has to be one of the worst actors alive i wanted to laugh when he got nominated for best actor award.

maybe taters will have a suporting role since travolta is gonna play a flamboyant gotti

This is too good for Taters, bandolero. He's still waiting for the call on GI JOE 2.

he really ruined that movie for me i would of rather had brendan fraser as the leading man role
minkowski writes:

Fraser would have been a good choice, I think and he had many fans hopeing he'd get the role before the film debuted, but it didn;t happen. Kurt Russell as Hawk wouldve been good too. Or even better, Shipwreck!

Tell me about it, big_daddy. Doesn't it just hurt like hell to think of the movie we cold have got instead of the sh*t Sommers sent to theaters?

And lol@ Saul.

Wow, I've got a 104 degree fever and we find out that John Gotti was a crossdressing wop who used to loved to get struck with paddles by his mandingo gay lovers from an underground kink club, while at the same time would do snuff films on his snitches, before dumping them unceremoniously into locations around the Hudson, Red Hook, Long Island and even Newark, for good measure ... all the while sucking off mules they stole from a local carny and then slapping it up their backside ?

That's just too Travolta, with a side of Cruise.

If Gotti was gay, then he wouldn't be sleeping with the (pink) fishes (lips) ... so to speak.

saying your movie will be the next Godfather is worse than Beiber saying he is the Kurt Cobain of his generation!

@The Skippy Spartan

Agreed.

Beiber isn't even the GG Allin of his generation .... he's more the William Hung of every generation.
