Trailer: James Wan's "Insidious" Horror Film

Posted: January 22nd, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Trailer: James WanSubmit Comment
Back in September, we got to see a short clip from the upcoming "Insidious" horror film, starring Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne. Today, we have an official teaser trailer. Check it out below.

Plot: When proud parents take possession of an old house, an accident results in one of their sons falling into a coma. The tragedy doesn't stop there when they are beset by vengeful spirits from another realm.

The new movie is directed by "Saw" creator James Wan, who re-united with "Saw" writer Leigh Whannell. On top of that, it is produced by Oren Peli, the man behind "Paranormal Activity." It has already appeared at the Toronto Film Festival and is now scheduled to hit theaters on April 1st.

...Well that was disappointing. I really hope that was just a bad trailer. James Wan is very underrated and I was really looking forward to this, but that honestly didn't look too good.

Is that the MadHatter's brother from Alice and Wonderland?

@gimple

agreed. but I think it serves it's minimal point as a teaser trailer though. James Wan does seem to have a decent handle in his films. perhaps this fairly short teaser doesn't do much justice. at least I hope not.

hmmm sounds ok but if it is produced by a paranormal activity person it will blow chunks of sh*t

For a teaser it was ok, but seems the have melded three films together.

I think James Wan shines when it comes to horror movies. He did a great job with Dead Silence. If there was any justice it would have made a hell of a lot of money.

I don't see this is a phenomenon for a new generation, unless it's commenting that little boys are dropping into comas all over the world?

Damn it Gary Busey! He's just too scary for our generation!

James Wan has talent. He did Saw, the only film of that franchise not deserving extinction, and he did Death Sentence was pretty good, and he did Dead Silence, a film that did little for me even after watching it twice. I mean, it wasn't bad, it just had no strong story tension. The film bogged down here and there for no reason other than oor writing, but it was dorected well.

Wan has talent, but this new film's premise just isn't doing it for me. I'd like to see his take on a sci-fi horror film. I think he could do well there.

well that was sh*t.. ok it was a teaser, but all it was is a woman saying (spoiler) the boy is the one who the ghosts want to rape and the rest is a load of flashing images and boring.
