Franco, Del Toro and Shannon Confirmed for "The Iceman" ThrillerSubmit Comment
Mickey Rourke has been planning to star in "The Ice Man," the story of real-life hitman Richard "The Ice Man" Kuklinski (pictured). But then late last year it was announced that director Ariel Vromen (Danika) was working on his own version of the story with James Franco, Michael Shannon, and Benicio Del Toro.

Now comes word that Vromen's film is moving forward, leaving Rourke's version in the dust. Millennium Films is on board to distribute and Franco, Shannon and Del Toro have been confirmed to star.

"The Iceman" is the electrifying true story of Richard Kuklinski (Shannon), a notorious mob contract killer and loving family man. He earned his nickname by freezing the bodies of his victims, disguising the time of death, and throwing police off-track. He was a man who used his tendencies toward violence and detachment from consequence to create an idyllic family life.

His family and neighbors believed he was an average businessman, having no idea about his deadly alternate life. Kuklinski killed over one hundred people during his life. He never felt remorse for anything he had done, except hurting his family. Del Toro co-stars as Kuklinski's employer, the notorious mobster Roy Demeo, and Franco plays his mentor assassin known as Mr. Softee.

I hope they save this guy's brain for scientific research. With any luck, one day they'll use his remains to identify the cause of detached homocidal tendencies.

I just think guy had some serious mono-aminase oxidase A problems.

it's too bad his family never told him that it hurts them to see him killing people...would he still have murdered then?

I love how these crime movies give such great ideas on how to go about murdering someone. And a 100 people no less! It glorifies the act in a way.
Who's going to break the record!?
