"Tron 3" Teaser Trailer with "Tron Legacy" Blu-ray?Submit Comment
Disney has yet to set a DVD/Blu-ray release date for "Tron Legacy" in the US, but word is that the film will appear in UK stores on April 11th.

Since "Legacy" doubled its $170 million at the worldwide box office, the studio has been considering giving the third installment the green light.

Tron-Sector has now learned that "Tron 3" has officially been greenlit and that the plan is to include a teaser trailer for the third film on the upcoming Blu-ray release of "Tron Legacy." Stay tuned.

Yeah, OK, so is Disney tone deaf or what, because given the second film's lackluster performance, overall, you would think they'd look to invent new franchises rather than milk sick ones.

Visually fun and enjoyed that aspect of Legacy...storyline was horrible... however if they promise better writing and Lasseter actually gets some say and involvement in the process I personally feel a 3rd could make up for the 2nd and at least make a fanboy like myself have some peace. Otherwise don't even bother.

Unlike most I am a Disney fan, from parks to cartoons to you name it, but you are right Minkowski, they really need to listen to the chatter sometimes before making some of these decisions.

I think its gonna be like when Disney showed the first footage at Comic-Con (it was called TR2N back then). It wasn't really footage, its was just an idea of what it was gonna look like for the fans. I think they'll do the exact same thing for the 'TRON: Legacy' Blu-ray.

tone deaf of what? people go to the movies and vote with their f*ckin wallets. regardless of what you thought of the movie, enough people enjoyed to give it a sustaining/decent performace at the box office. u think the big studios give a flying f*ck what a bunch of noisy fanbois think? all they care about, REALLY, at the end of the day, is the bottom line, and since this proved to be a decent investment you're DAMN STRAIGHT they'll milk it dry. i'm not saying it's artistically the best thing, but it's show BUSINESS.

Disgusting.

sh*t floats, but the turd (third) will sink.

That'll teach them, those f*ckers.

I loved the second, thought it was great, (each to their own I guess), san't see how they can make a third, ***spoiler*** there wasn't anything in the second to warrant a third movie.

"u think the big studios give a flying f*ck what a bunch of noisy fanbois think?"

Fan 'bois'? You're the faggot with your gaping hole roaring over the negative comments aimed at Tron 2. That would make you the fan 'bois', not me or anyone else.

Learn to spell, moron.

And yes, people 'vote with their wallets', as that phrase inaccurately goes, but just because some visually appealing, story-lackluster film made some money during a weak Holiday season, doesn't mean it deserves a sequel. Look at all the ther totally sh*t films that are getting sequels.

How much did Tron cost again? 400 million? And they've made what so far?

Fact is, everyone agrees the story sucked, from general audience viewers to critics. They should have learned to make something worthwhile, something enduring, not some more leaden and good-looking trash, but they didn't and here you are, an apparently raving moron, cheering them on for choosing to spend hundreds of millions more on another potentially marginal sequel to a film few people give two shakes of a rats ass about.

And you people will watch almost anything. That phrase 'voting with their wallets' is stupid by the way, because people don't vote to watch a film, they vote to not stay at home bored to tears. They chose Tron because of a lack of decent competition.

And an endlessly American need to spend money. Dumbasses.
