"Red" Sequel in the WorksSubmit Comment
Collider has learned that Summit Entertainment has hired Jon and Erich Hoeber to write the script for the upcoming "Red" sequel. The duo penned the first installment, plus Kate Beckinsale's "Whiteout" and Peter Berg's "Battleship."

The first film was based on a DC Comics graphic novel and revolved around a former black-ops agent who reassembles his old team in an effort to survive a high-tech assassin. It stars Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman and Karl Urban.

"Red" was the studios second highest-grossing film of 2010, behind "Twilight." It grossed $164 million worldwide and was recently nominated by the Golden Globes for Best Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical.

I liked it but felt that there was not much Morgan Freeman. He basically nothing in the whole movie (besides taking one for the team). Wanted to see Freeman do some proper damage.

Helen Mirren in nothing but a thong this time, Damn You!

Oh, and make Morgan Freeman have to go around in burnt cork on his face, calling everyone "Massa" ...

And Kate Beckinsale and Helen Hirren in the same movie YUM YUM

Now if they could recreate the showe scene from Whiteout (only scene worth watching in the whole crap movie BTW) together that would be super :)

f*ck Red. It wasn't a terrible film, but it's pretty sh*tty to mislead people into thinking they'll be watching a film based on the comic book, when it clearly was not.

More Karl Urban that's all you need. The first one really surprised me so I'm down for a second.
