Orlando Bloom to Get $1 Million for "The Hobbit" Cameo

Orlando Bloom to Get $1 Million for "The Hobbit" CameoSubmit Comment
About a month ago, we learned that Orlando Bloom was in final negotiations to return as Elven archer Legolas in "The Hobbit" prequels. Now comes word from HeatWorld that his role will only be a two-minute cameo.

And those negotiations paid off, because the actor will earn over $1 million for his appearance. "The Hobbit" prequels have a combined budget of around $500 million, and will include cameos not only for Bloom, but also Elijah Wood and Dominic Monaghan.

Meanwhile, the stars of the prequels , Martin Freeman, Robert Kazinsky and Aidan Turner, will take home a combined pay-check that is less than Bloom's cameo money.

You're f*cking not worth enough for a f*cking Happy Meal, Bloom.

I'm waiting for him to admit he wrote " God, it's me again, Margaret. " from personal experience from his first menstrual cycle.

He should change his name to 1 word for instant recognition (like: Cher or Madonna) to: 'HIV!'

Ok. It's one thing if they're giving him 1/5 of 1% of the budget to do a cameo that will be about 1/5 of 1% of the movie. I can accept that. It's Hollywood, people get paid ridiculous amounts of money.
BUT...WTF is wrong with them for not giving the REAL stars of the movie a decent paycheck. Thats just a f*cking sc*mbag move. It's as if they chose people who were cheaper just so they could hire back Bloom and Wood and other people who aren't even relevant to the story. Not a good sign for this movie...though I still can't wait to see more adventures in Middle Earth.

"Orlando Bloom to Get $1 Million for "The Hobbit" Cameo"

Should've passed the million on to some hungry hitman bum for the deed of whacking this Hollywood fool.

But considering that the Hobbit is an assured cool 1.5 bil in the bank, Orlando's one million is actually pretty fair.

I mean, 1 mil is only 1% of a hundred million, so you do the math, guys.

Hint, a million is less than 1/10th of one percent of 1.5 billion. So if the movies only net 1 billion, a reasonably likely assumption, he's reciving 0.1% of the net for his appearance.

Makes sense to me. It IS a high-grossing franchise after all, not Resident Evil or something.
