"Pac-Man" TV Series in the Works

"Pac-Man" TV Series in the WorksSubmit Comment
Despite the fact that many of you believe Hollywood will eventually make a Pac-Man movie, game-maker Namco is not ready for that yet. Instead, the company has teamed with Merv Griffin Entertainment to develop an unscripted TV series based on the popular video game.

The show is described as a "big, crazy wipeout-type event with a lot of energy." Merv Griffin president said: "The idea we have is to take what Pac-Man is and bring it to life, to bring what is essentially the world's biggest game of tag to television."

This isn't the first time that Pac-Man has made it to the small screen. In the early 1980s, there was a short-lived animated series based on pop culture icon.

The only way this woun't be terrible is by making it as crazy as a japanese gameshow(and as painfull). Gloves off, we want to see blood.

Hmmmmmmm... there was already a short lived Pac Man series. Hence the words, "short lived." With all the kick ass video games out there, I'm sure youngsters are dying to see a show based on Pac-Man.

Not bad. Wipeout if fun to watch. It's not too hard to picture someone dressed in yellow running through a maze filled with retarded obstacles. Not the kind of thing you tune in weekly to see, but whatever. I don't watch gameshows anyway.

"big, crazy wipeout-type event with a lot of energy."

Because the game itself was more than a slow-paced monotonous maze-crawler filled with the kind of repetition only a highly memory-limited and ancient game console could provide, right?

So I have no idea what show they're decribing, but I imagine, based on the description, it involves surfer boys and really high waves followed by explosions.

You're better off spray-painting John Goodman canary yellow and having him "eat out" the pussies of Thai hookers, dressed as ghosts.

The little yellow dots ? Lemonhead ruffies, of course.

I wonder if they'll put his final suicide note on the Cracked website. It would be the funniest thing they've posted since the magazine went under.

@trailertrash

If Jason Segel has his way, don't be surprised if you do.

Only, it'll be Kermie baring bare ass to the camera for the first twenty minutes.

And they'll name it " Get Him To Be Green ".
