Trailer: Werner HerzogSubmit Comment
Werner Herzog premiered his new 3D documentary "Caves of Forgotten Dreams" back in September at the Toronto Film Festival. It received good reviews and was picked up for distribution. Today we have a trailer for the movie. Check it out below.

Plot: Werner Herzog gains exclusive access to film inside the Chauvet caves of southern France, capturing the oldest known pictorial creations of humankind in their astonishing natural setting. He puts 3-D technology to a profound use, taking us back in time over 30,000 years.

There is still no word on when the film will hit 3D theaters, but it is rumored to be released in March. "Caves" has also already sold its TV rights to the History Channel.

Herzog is kinda hit and miss with me. This one looks soul-crushingly boring.

When the f*ck did Herzog turn into David f*cking Attenborough ?

They won't have a controversial movie about the Kennedy Dynasty, but they'll subject us to a long f*cking lecture about caverns, stalagtites and stalagmites ?

If I want to go to Carlsbad Caverns and go cheap-ass tour spelunking, I'll go f*cking drive to it on a long, uncomfortable family vacation.

f*ck this sh*t.

Tells you all you need to know.

HC just can't cut it. Either it's some UFO/monster BS masquerading as history, in order to appeal to the simple-minded American public, or it's drab, bland garbage better suited to an Encyclopedia Britannica entry.

As for Herzog, he knows how to use a camera, but a docu' on caves will have to have more than technically excellent camerawork to appeal to anyone other than a consummate spelunker.

I see this one appealing only to old people already stuck in a rut of daily constipation, or morons that think they know how to navigate a gelogical *sshole.

@Max Rockatansky Junior:

I think since always, he often makes some doc*mentaries in between movies, and they're pretty good, specially if he narrates them. Love the man!
