Video: Unused Animatronics from "Hulk" Posted: January 8th, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Special effects artist Steve Johnson has been unveiled concept art and costumed from Tim Burton's "Superman Lives," that was eventually scrapped due to budget concerns. He also worked on Ang Lee's 2003 "Hulk" movie, which stars Eric Bana as Bruce Banner. Apparently Lee wanted the green monster to be brought to the big screen using animatronics. Johnson has now posted video of his effects team building the robotic Hulk, showing both the exterior and the interior of the character. There are hours of this footage that will likely be released in the future. And for those who haven't noticed, Lee eventually decided against using an animatronic Hulk in favor for CGI effects.

Well it couldn't have been worse than that original CGI green piece of crap.

Totally Agree! It doesn't matter whether it's a CGI or animatronic, the movie is a complete piece of sh*t.

They should repurpose that robot for the Chris Farley biopic.

The only redeeming thing about the movie is Eric Bana himself.

Nick Nolte was great as the Absorbing Man, for what tiny amount of character development his role had.

and Sam Elliot was the perfect choice for Thunderbolt Ross.

Those people claiming the CGI in Hulk was crap are total idiots, especially if they're referring to the Hulk himself as he was pretty much perfect and better than the CGI Hulk in The Incredible Hulk who didn't look as realistic, more like he had just stepped out of a CGI cartoon. No doubt they are they same morons who called Avatar's CGI crap as well.

This article forgot to mention that the Hulks 'transforming arm' was modeled after my erection.

I thought it was modeled after the prolapsed pooper of BitchHunter's mother.

The CIG in The Hulk was excellent. The biggest glitch was in designing his face to look like a big baby instead of a grotesque monster.
