Eminem to Star in "Random Acts of Violence" ThrillerSubmit Comment
About a month ago, it was reported that DreamWorks was setting up "Southpaw" as a starring vehicle for Eminem, with "Sons of Anarchy" creator Kurt Sutter on board to write the script about a boxer fighting to reclaim his past glory.

Now comes word from NY Mag that Eminem is attached to star in a new crime thriller, called "Random Acts of Violence," for 20th Century Fox. "Seraphim Falls" director David Von Ancken will helm "Random Acts" after completing work on upcoming episodes of "Californication."

The new movie revolves around an ex-con (Eminem) who is fresh out of prison and trying to stay legit but his efforts are complicated by his old gang who wants him back on the job. So does the FBI, which hopes he'll wear a wire and bring down the crime syndicate. The ex-con, meanwhile, tries to play both sides against each other long enough to exact revenge against those on both sides of the law who sent him to prison in the first place.

Wow eminem back to acting didn't they learn about a decade ago about 8 mile?

And how the f*ck will he play an ex con?he's as harmless and puny as colin farrell and chaning tatum

They should reenact that teabagging scene in the movie like they did in the awards by borat he sure will like that

Eminem to Star in "Random Acts of Violence" Thriller

***Yawn***

Unless they lock Marshall's character in the truck of the car and drop it off Hoover Dam to re-enact the "Stan" video (with a twist) ... I don't care about it.

He's not a terrible actor and he's not a terrible lyricist. He just suffers from bad publicity. He created this image of a rebellious teenager, but now he's trapped in it. A few movies and polished acting is what his career needs.
Either that or hire Dre to produce again because the beats on his last album were sh*t.

you guys obviously dont listen to hip hop or rap cause he is single handily the best at what he does (maybe tupac as well but at least for this time he is). and his acting in 8 mile wasnt bad at all, but its whatever let the haters hate

Oh god... Recovery was the gayest sh*t I've ever heard. That was his sell-out album right there.
