Video: Networks Fight to Sign Homeless Man with Amazing Voice Posted: January 6th, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Just two days ago, Ted Williams was living in a tent near a highway in Columbus, Ohio. But now, he is in New York doing interviews with CBS and NBC, as well as considering a number of job offers. After drugs and alcohol ruined his life (he served in prison for theft and forgery), Williams decided that while he's begging for money on the side of the road, he'll hold up a sign stating that he has a voice that's a gift from god. An employee of The Columbus Dispatch noticed the sign and posted a clip on YouTube of Williams demonstration his voice-over skills. The video immediately became a hit (with over 11 million views) and Williams has now been offered jobs by NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers, MTV, NFL Films and plenty of TV networks. Cavaliers offered Williams a two-year contract to work as an announcer and agreed to pay for his living expenses. " This has been totally, totally amazing," Williams said, his voice choking with emotion. " I'm just so thankful. God has blessed me so deeply. I'm getting a second chance. Amazing." Check out the YouTube video below, and click here to see his CBS interview.

Yeah, I watched the video about two days ago.
Update to this story : A business saw the viral video and hired him, so now he's technically employed.
Like the old saying goes, he definitley has a face made for radio.
And apparently a voice also.

Hopefully he takes this and doesn't f*ck it up. I have been personal witness to many people getting their so called "second chance" only to lose it to old demons.

I've never heard a voice spun from gold echo out of a festering fecal wound, but hey, there's always that miraculous first time.
Just kidding. Good luck to the guy, but I doubt he'll let recent events change his life for the better, on a permament basis.

@rabid But but but but but maybe he was from a poor neighbourhood or didn't get enough hugs? Lol! Actually I thought this was great (although drugs and alcohol didn't ruin his life, he ruined his life with drugs and alcohol unless people regularly held him down and forced him to drink alcohol and take drugs?) but now knowing about his rap sheet has spoiled it. :(
