Warner Bros Breaks All Box Office Records in 2010Submit Comment
Warner Bros is reporting that it broke the all-time industry worldwide box office record in 2010. The company has grossed $4.814 billion, surpassing the prior record of $4.010 billion, which was set by Warner Bros in 2009.

The studio broke the record six times in the past 10 years. But in 2010, it has also set records for the biggest international and domestic takes.

Warner Bros had five films gross over $100 million domestically in 2010, including "Inception," "Clash of the Titans," "Valentine's Day," "Due Date" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1."

Internationally, the studio had seven films that crossed the $100 million mark, including "Sherlock Holmes," "Valentine's Day," "Clash of the Titans," "Sex and the City 2," "Inception," "Due Date," and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1."

2011 is looking pretty good as well. Warners will be releasing "Sucker Punch," "The Hangover: Part 2," "Green Lantern," "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," "Happy Feet 2," "New Year's Eve" and "Sherlock Holmes 2."

Wow, if this were a study about serious romantic lovers, Twentieth Century Fox would feel inadequate.

Hopefully, 2011 will have more watchable movies worth spending money than last year had.

Sherlock Holmes actually made over 200 mil domestic whereas Due Date apparently has not crossed 100 mil yet as of first week of 2010, something's fishy here... get'em IRS!!
