"Batman Live" Stage Production Photos and Description

"Batman Live" Stage Production Photos and DescriptionSubmit Comment
"Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark" is not the only superhero who will be flying around on stage. "Batman Live" is set to premiere in July, but not on Broadway, the show will travel around British and Irish cities for eleven weeks. If it is successful, it will then come to the US in 2012.

Unlike "Turn Off The Dark," the new show will not be a musical, but will still feature lots of acrobatic stunts. We now have three set design photos to show the scale of "Batman Live." Check them out below.

Description: Based on an original story being created exclusively for the show, "Batman Live" is a theatrical extravaganza of thrilling stunts, acrobatic acts and illusions. Never before has Gotham City, Wayne Manor, the Batcave and Arkham Asylum been brought to life on stage in a more visually exciting way. Join Batman and Robin as they battle their nemesis The Joker and other super-villains such as The Riddler, Catwoman, The Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, set on destroying Gotham City.

I think the title should be Batman: The Flying Graysons

With the stage so small how are audiences supposed to fit inside the building?

Hopefully Batman will fly into an orchestra to cause a lot of nedia attention.

Nedia = Media

If it isn't a musical, then what's with the singing and dancing acts?

lol @the skippy spartan & @billy_zane

so Im basically seeing cirque de solei (or however its spelled) with Batman costumes... could be interesting... however, I feel the disaster that is "Turn off the Dark" may keep interest away from this.

Co-starring: The Flailing GaySons - Jake & Che.

Wonder if the costumes for Batman and Robin will have nipples on them, to keep in the faithful tradition of bedfellows Andrew Lloyd Webber and Joel Schumacher.

And Che's dad's closet.

Wonder if Act 3 will feature Joker taking the crowbar to Jason Todd. Should be good for the kiddies.
Max Rockatansky Junior writes:

The first actress that gets coldc*cked by Joker is going to be a crybaby like that bitch from the Spidey musical.

f*cking actresses.
Max Rockatansky Junior writes:

Maybe they can get the actress to play Barbara Gordon, then they can bookend the scene by having Jason Todd beat to death at the beginning and Barbara's spine cracked at the end.
Max Rockatansky Junior writes:

And the actor that gets the Mr. Freeze costume is going to complain that he looks like a giant glass dildo.

If nothing else, can they at least bring back Danny Elfman's Batman music? Cuz as much as I enjoy Nolan's newer Batfilms, the music in them is still kinda.....quiet. And I say this as a fan of the new music too. But, ya just have to turn up the soundtrack pretty loud to appreciate it. Although, let it be said that the Zimmer/Howard Joker theme as presented on Cd wipes the memory clean of the Prince songs of Batman past. In other words, I'm eternally conflicted about many things re: Batman. Except for Schumacher's Batman & Robin. That was f*cking dogsh*t.
