First Look: Morgan Spurlock's Unique "Greatest Movie Ever Sold" Documentary

Posted: December 29th, 2010 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
First Look: Morgan SpurlockSubmit Comment
Morgan Spurlock's hit documentary "Super Size Me" made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival back in 2004. The filmmaker is now returning to the festival (on January 22nd) with a new film, called "The Greatest Movie Ever Sold."

In the documentary, Spurlock examines the world of product placement, marketing, and advertising by making a film financed entirely by product placement, marketing, and advertising. Check out the first photo from the movie below.

Plot: We live in an age where it's tough even to walk down the street without someone trying to sell you something. It's at the point where practically the entire American experience is brought to us by some corporation. Utilizing cutting-edge tools of comic exploration and total self-exploitation, Spurlock dissects the world of advertising and marketing by using his personal integrity as currency to sell out to the highest bidder.

Morgan Spurlock is the Lindsay Lohan of doc*menatary stars ... still waiting for you to grow out that mullet, you whiny, vegetarian f*ck.

Plot: We live in an age where it's tough even to walk down the street without someone trying to sell you something. (Like you pitching this movie to a movie studio and then finally to us) It's at the point where practically the entire American experience is brought to us by some corporation. (Much like your movie is.) Utilizing cutting-edge tools of comic exploration and total self-exploitation, Spurlock dissects the world of advertising and marketing by using his personal integrity as currency to sell out to the highest bidder (Because deep down, he's a f*cking AIDS carrying whore).

Open your mouth really wide when your sucking off their c*cks, Morgan.

And spread those cheeks real wide, when they slide their corporate c*cks up your whorish sphincter.

You f*ck.

Wasn't his last Doc*mentary, like one giant product placement for McDonald's.

I wouldn't say he was advertising McDonalds, more like embarassing them. I really enjoyed the last doc*mentary he did "Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden?"

Yeah i know , But that particular foodchain seems to thrive even if there are stories saying their burgers are made from Worms and Cows Eyes.

Any publicity is good publicity for Mc D's i guess.

Not seen the Osama Bin Laden doc*mentary though.

The only thing I remember from Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden? is the crazy Jews lol

So I guess the guy shouldn't make films, according to the prevalent opinion here?

There's nothing hypocritical about him advertising his film on the world of marketing. How else is he supposed to let you know the film exists? Telepathy?

Besides, things do cost money, and someone has to pay somewhere to have the film made, distributed and advertised. You can't make a film and make people aware of it's existence without spending someone's money.

In this case, you should wait to see the film before over-zealously shooting the messenger.

Well said Mink. At first it sounded hypocritical but I think that's one of the points he's trying to raise.

Mink, usually I hate your opinions. but this time I agree. well done sir.
