Trailer: Steven SpielbergSubmit Comment
Steven Spielberg and DreamWorks Television are working on a new alien-invasion TV series for TNT, called "Falling Skies," that will air in June of 2011. We now have a trailer for it, which you can watch below.

Plot: Noah Wyle ("ER") stars as Tom Mason, a former college professor who becomes the leader of a group of soldiers and civilians struggling against an occupying alien force. Moon Bloodgood (Terminator Salvation) co-stars as Anne Glass, a therapist who works with the surviving children to help them cope with the traumatic situation.

The series also stars Drew Roy (Secretariat) as Hal and Maxim Knight as Matt, Tom's two sons; and Seychelle Gabriel ("Weeds") as Lourdes, an orphaned teenager who helps run the group's commissary. Will Patton (Armageddon) will play a recurring role as a fierce resistance fighter.

Nice to see they are throwing Noah Wyle a bone in the form of a role for a series that might last two seasons. Seriously, he was the only ER alumni that made me wonder, what the f*ck is wrong with you ? Why won't you get some balls and demand more from your agent ?

So, Spielberg is going to try his hand at "V", the series ? Didn't he see how well the remake went (the skankfest with Scott Wolf) ? How many seasons did that last ? Not many.

Steven,

Did you not learn anything from Taken ?

No, don't answer. That was rhetroical, you bonehead.

Obviously you didn't.

* As is there was anything like a PASSIVE resistance fighter ?

... Well, if you count George W Bush Jr. ...

@shayhiri

Don't worry.

You're not missing much.

Terriers got cancelled, but American Idle just keeps on churning vomit inducing papsmears year after year, like an abortion clinic in a Kenya village.

Looks good.

Will Patton is badass and underused.

Might catch it on DVD.

Actually, they're are passive resistance fighters. In France, resisters would place their shoes (sabots) into the machinery they were forced to operate as a form of resistance to those above them. That's where the word sabotage comes from.

In WWII, communist resistance fighters did the same. They didn't necessarily engage on the battlefield, they resorted to sabotage and destructive exploitation of their enemies using only passive techniques.

But I must say that Spielberg is dead. He hasn't made a film in seemingly ages.

Tintin, a film no American could care less about, is still undelivered, and he's selling his sh*t in the one venue where all washed-up actors, wannabes, young stars and failed directors go: television.

Awsome stuff...Will Patton is a great addition, hopefully he dosen't get killed in the first episode because having an actor of his range in a series as recurring is waste of oportunity, just like they did with ROBERT PATRICK in Stargate Atlantis hahahah

@Kooky SpunkCaked The remake of V is still going, season 2 starts in January.

@holtlt I think the whole point of killing Robert Patrick in the first episode of Stargate Atlantis was to shock the audience. The series was advertised as "starring Robert Patrick" so he was the last person you'd expect to die in the first episode!

Um I like V, and I don't use past tense because it's entering its next season in less than a month. Need to get your facts straight if you want to use them as defense for a claim you're making. Just saying man, no offense meant.

"V"

They should have left V cancelled. They totally cheaped out on showing the alien baby last season. It was the only reason I sat through every episode of that terrible show, and I got nothing.
Maybe Spielberg can show them how to do it right.
