Peter Parker is a Teenager in "Spider-Man" RebootSubmit Comment
Speaking to The Guardian, Andrew Garfield (The Social Network) confirmed that Peter Parker will be a teenager in high-school in the upcoming "Spider-Man" reboot.

"I think Spider-Man needs strength, but Peter Parker is still a teenager, you know? That's a very tender balance to figure out," he said regarding his workout regime. "It's very specific what we're trying to achieve in terms of body type and the feeling of that."

Garfield added: "We started shooting two weeks ago and then we have Christmas off. Then we're back into it for a fair bit of time. I'm going to have to hibernate into this character for at least four or five months."

If he's 27 and gets to play a high schooler, and I'm 31, can I play a 12 yr old kid in the next Narnia movie?

It's nice to see a failure just set itself up for a pratfall. This movie is the cinematic equivalent version of a very fat lady slipping on a banana peel and falling down an open manhole.

That's suppose to surprise me? Geez Garfield, you sell out after one decent movie! What the hell is wrong with you? You know this is idiotic. You know it won't sell. You know this was done because Sony had a tissy fit because Daddy Raimi wouldn't give them the piece of crP they wanted and not for the sake of cinematic art. You cast a rookie director who directed A CHICK FLICK, an inexperienced actor who I didn't think was that great in Social Network although he played his part well enough, and you cast a well-known COMEDIC ACTOR as the villain. My mom's going to see this and just remember seeing him Replacements or Notting Hill! If Sony actually expects any intelligent, non-moronic teenager to take this seriously then they must be smoking the most hallucinogenic drug ever!

In my opinion this movie will either be a comedy or an actually pretty decent movie (comedy cause it will be so awful we'll laugh)but anyways even if sony released a movie filming a sh*t pile for an hour an a half and called the movie spiderman they would still make a sh*tload of money..

I think we all knew he would be a teenager when they cast Andrew Garfield for it. It made it even more clear that we're going for a younger cast with Emma Stone cast as Gwen Stacy. They are both good actors though. I really hope they have some great villains and powers in there so it won't be Twilight-like.
