Stephen Dorff Says "Blade" Spin-Off May Happen, Sort Of

Stephen Dorff Says "Blade" Spin-Off May Happen, Sort OfSubmit Comment
We've been hearing that Stephen Dorff and director Stephen Norrington (Blade, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen) have been working on a "Blade" spin-off that would focus on Dorff's Deacon Frost character.

Now the actor revealed that the spin-off will likely never happen. "Me and Steve Norrington had a cool treatment for that, and when vampires got all this trending again, we thought we should do the adult version, more of like a 'Scarface' Deacon Frost movie," he explained. "And it sounded cool, this treatment, but then there was so many legal things. Like New Line owned 'Blade' and Marvel's got 'The Avengers' which sounds like such a mistake."

Dorff went on to say that it would be a shame to throw out their treatment. "We might just end up fictionalizing it and just making a new character which might even be better for us," he said. "And he is someone I really like and would love to work with again. So hopefully whenever we get a chance we'll get into that."

Steven Dorf sucks. He's like a little version of Kevin Bacon. Hated him in Blade and was glad when the big bad black dude whacked Deacon Frost with a vengeance.

f*ck off Stephen Dorff, you were too old for a prequel of a movie done over 10 years ago. Props on Felon though, that movie was very decent!

Felon was awesome. I guess he sucks a little less as I forgot he did that film.

I'm confused. Dorf says the movie will likely never happen, but the title claims he's saying it may happen, when in fact he only states that the would like to work with the doirector again, but a Frost film would have significant legal hurdles.

That first Blade movie man, really good. They all were a bit downhill from there, but that first one had something going for it. Really dug Dorff in that as well. sh*t I'd rather him do that than another "Somewhere" what a joke that film is.

Speaking of which where is the Blade reboot at anyways?

Think of how it would be to sit through Titanic now if, as Mr. Dorff claims, he was cast in Leonardo's role, which he claims he was a front-runner for. Think and start laughing, please.

Deacon Frost should meet Edward Cullen and beat each other to prove who can take Bella

Dorff is praying for this so he can have a new gig or he'll end up like Richard Grieco doing marvel rip offs with Steve Urkel

the only thing I really liked steven dorf in was the gate but the nerdy metal kid was still cooler. the only thing steven has in common with al pacino is height.

I don't care about Deacon Frost.
