Tommy Wiseau's "The Room," which many believe is the worst movie ever made, is a guilty pleasure for Paul Rudd, David Wain Jonah Hill, and thousands of fans. And now, Wiseau has announcing his big plans for the film.
The first step is to convert it to 3D and have it in theaters by the end of 2011 or 2012. "We want to do it because I'm obsessed about 3-D right now," he said. "My bottom will have to be in 3-D, because I'm not changing anything."
Wiseau also wants to release a Blu-ray version of his movie. "We want a Blu-ray release before Christmas 2011," he explained. "I have hundreds of emails from people saying, 'We want to see the behind-the-scenes footage'."
In addition to working on "The Room," Wiseau is also developing "The Neighbors" sitcom, a feature film about the economy and a clothing line. "I'll be designing underwear, as well as jackets, as well as sportswear," he said. "I have the skills. I know how to design. Of course, it will be my face on some of the clothes; it'll be my name on it. It will be 'Designed by Tommy Wiseau'."
A. He looks like Oliver Platt, if Oliver played a herion addict in an early 80s remake of The Breakfast Club and did the Judd Nelson role.
B. The reason this is going to 3-D ? Because Hollywood still hasn't heard the audiences say how bad an idea 3-D has been for most movies that want to use it ....
(ex : Jaw 3-D anyone ?)
C. If he's designing underwear, he should put his face (which he has indicated will be on some of his *ahem* clothing line *ahem* on the taint/*sshole area, so that those who skidmark easily can use it as camouflage.
