Disney's "Museum of the Weird" Attraction to Become a Movie

Movies based on Disney theme parks are becoming popular in Hollywood. There is currently a fourth "Pirates of the Caribbean" installment in development, Jon Favreau is making a "Magic Kingdom" film, and Guillermo Del Toro is working on a "Haunted Mansion" Movie.

LA Times is now reporting that the studio is now considering making a film based on "The Museum of the Weird," an attraction that Walt Disney liked back in the 1960s but was never able to get it built.

The museum was meant to spotlight a parade of ghostly organists, magic carts, talking chairs and other surreal exhibits. Walt Disney wanted to use it as part of the "Haunted Mansion" and have it come with its own restaurant.

Ahmet Zappa is attached to write the script.

Up next, a reboot of Disney's Tower of Terror and Mission to Mars. Because we all know we want to see those.

What about Disney Presents "The Over Priced restaurant" Starring Chris Tucker

I was thinking more along the lines of The Cat from Outer Space, with cat voiced by Dwayne Johnson and starring Nick Cage and his many hair pieces.

You know THAT would work.

@mink

Don't give Disney ideas, there is bound to be someone from every major studio looking at web sites like this for ideas.

On subject, wasn't this film already done...

"Night at the Museum"

I can hardly wait to catch the 2 1/2 long hour movie, " The Spinning Cups ", starring Chloe Sevigny (looking to take a break from having feces flung in her face in every Vincent Gallo movie she is (forced to; extorted) starring in.

How's that for f*cking sarcastic ?

f*ck the Disney Corporation with Walt Disney's decomposed c*ck.

@minkowski

And the soundtrack would be Daft Punk, interlining the sound of a drunk Dean Jones crashing his car into a tree, vomiting and cursing the day he signed the contract with Disney.

The Museum of the Weird ... sounds like a tour of the Disney home and their history ... followed off by Uncle Walt's Gift Shop of Anti - Semetism.

@ Dave the Photo Guy

Don't worry about Disney stealing from us.

They already horded the Grimm Fairy Tales and Uncle Tom's Cabin ... so if they want to steal it, you'll see a new meme with Mickey Mouse flipping us the bird and saying,

" Stick this small world up your ass, bitch."

@trailertrash

Chris Tucker ? Knowing Disney, it'll be a 3-D CGI remake of Song of the South, with Chris blackfacing (which means he'll look like the Bic guy, if it were up to Disney), shuckin' and jivin' like the days of vaudeville as Uncle Remus ....

while smokin' reefer.

@mink

The Tower of Terror as a feature film ? Well, if Disney wants to make whore-f*cking money, they HAVE to star Eddie Murphy (Sarcasm One).

Mission to Mars ? So this is a homogenized version of the first mission to mars starring Gary Sinese, Tim Robbins, Don Cheatle and Val Kilmer ? Or is the ride more lively and keeps the audience awake (Sarcasm Two) ?

Note : The sarcasm is not towards mink's suggestions. All sarcasm is directed to Disney.
Max Rockatansky Junior writes:

I know for a f*cking fact that if Walt lived through cyrogenics, then there would be a Adolph & Eva, the cute German Adventures cartoon series by now.
Max Rockatansky Junior writes:

I mean, really ....

can't Disney come up with a good snuff film by now ?
