LA Times hosted a live chat with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, who answered questions about "The Avengers" and other upcoming Marvel films. Below is a quick summary of what he had to say.

* Iron Man's armor in "The Avengers": "Joss [Whedon] would kill me if I gave anything away, but I will say that the evolution you saw his armor take in [Iron Man 2] will continue in The Avengers."

* Thor's original alter-ego will be referenced in "Thor": "People looking for a reference to Don Blake in the Thor film will find one."

* Marvel is making plans for "The Punisher": "Punisher is back in house, and various plans are in the works."

* "Iron Fist" movie is in development: "A very talented writer is currently working on a draft."

* "Iron Fist" script is based in part on the Brian Michael Bendis / Matt Fraction series: "The movie is definitely inspired by that great run."

* Feige wants to see more female characters in Marvel's movies: "I love Jessica Jones."

* Feige commented on Isaiah Mustafa (from Old Spice commercials) wanting to play Luke Cage: "Love the old spice guy!"

* There are no current plans to produce short films based on Marvel characters: "The shorts rumor was just a rumor, but we do like the idea."

* Edgar Wright is still working on "Ant-Man": "Edgar was here a few days ago. He's already working on the next draft."

* "Ant-Man" will go into production after 2012: "Sometime after The Avengers."

* Marvel has been considering developing a Moon Knight film: "Moonknight is a challenging, but extremely interesting character. We've been discussing various versions of it for years."

* "Black Panther" film is being developed: "Things are in the works."

* Choosing Chris Evans (Fantastic Four) as Captain America: "We figured if Harrison Ford could be Indiana Jones and Han Solo, Chris Evans could play Torch and Cap."

* Will there be references to The Invaders in "Captain America": "There's no Invaders, there's lots of Howling Commandos!"

* Will "Captain America," "Thor" or "The Avengers" have after-credit scenes: "Some of them will."

K regarding ant man, who gives a sh*t. And with the sequels they have in mind, would they just use giant man and the wasp as the the sequels or spin offs, (what a stupid f*cking idea in the first place) And yeah I can agree with Fiege, I wanna see more women in the marvel universe as well. Get some lesbian wrestling scenes in their, perhaps take a cue from requiem for a dream, paltrow and scarlotte going ass to ass would be nothing but a fitting enhancement... Also I am so sick and tired of hearing about the old spice guy about being the black panther, dude get over it, you got ur 15 minutes of fame. And please dont think you will do anything except ruin what could be a kick ass series. And comparing Chris twatter evens to harrison ford, WTF. Fiege you may be president of Marvel, but do that sh*t again and you will get an ass kicking of a life time. No way could you compare the two. in my book you just went to Che level, you c*nt muffin

leave the Punisher to a hong kong director like John Woo,Ringo Lam,Johnie To and that sh*t will be fire

f*ck that mustafa faggot hes so desperate to get a role in hollywood should auditon for male afro porn would love to kick him in the face.

Scott Adkins would be a great Iron Fist or a Deadpool he got the martial arts skills and the acting

Scott Adkins would be great. What happened to Ray Park being cast as iron Fist?

Mark my words, captain america will suck but not because of chris evens.

ray park is very underrated as an actor. If he got that role, Iron Fist would be bad ass, but because he is not that big name, and they hollywierd and Marvel wont take such a big risk. Although they should considerning the fact that they got a c*nt berry like Chris Evans as C.A.

the fact that edgar wright is attached to ant man is enough to make it the most anticipated marvel movie to date.

Ant-Man I'm looking forward to. I'm not a huge Edgar Wright fan, but Ant-Man's always been one of my favorite characters. Iron Fist, I could really care less.
Black Panther could be the next Batman if Marvel wasn't so afraid to put him out in front.

No Invaders? Aren't they pivotal in the origins? As is Mandarin?

There's a difference between Indiana Jones and Han Solo. They weren't established characters. There's something about that, I can't put my finger on it, but all I know is that is a silly reference.

This guy seems like a douchebag.

And Edgar Wright, like what the f*ck man? Robert Rodriguez made Sin City years back, which is when he started his sequel bullsh*t. Thing is, he's came out with like, a dozen films since then. Edgar's done like two, this Ant-Man sh*t started in what, like 07', 08'? Jesus, like what the f*ck. He has had more than a enough time time for this.

Joe Johnston said we'd have Invaders, it's never good when you got a director who lies.

I'm pretty sure if you type "Iron Fist" movie into the internet a movie has already been made and I'm sure it's not aimed at the family market.

No, the difference is having 2 marvel characters played by the same person is going against this universe you're trying to create han solo and indiana jones aint even in the same galaxy you mother f*cker. CINEMA IS DEAD PEOPLE!
rabid writes:

Joe Johnston only said we'd see something like the Invaders, but they wouldn't be called that, and that there'd be 6 members.
But I'm pretty sure he was getting them mixed up with the Howling Commandos.
Edgar Wright only got hired to do Ant-Man in June 2010, so he's still working on the scripts.
Cinemaisdead, Fox's Human Torch and Marvel's Captain America don't exist in the same universe, much like Indiana and Han.

Comment 1: Iron Fist = gay porn title.
Comment 2: Power Man and Iron Fist = even gayer porn title.
Comment 3: They will need to seriously relook at Iron Fist outfit as chest exposed, dragon tattoo, green pyjamas with yellow mask, yellow slippers is, see Comments 1 and 2.

black panther would be cool if theyd ever f*cking do it.

iron fist would be cool. and ye ray park should definitley be the lead. ive me the guy and he is incredibly nice and talented in both acting and martial arts. hes perfect choice.

moonknight would be kickass if done correctly. thats the only thing i really got excited about out of all this.

idk what to think of captain america anymore. ill judge when i see a trailer. unless thetrailer is aweful im sure ill see it an make a final judgment then but all these rumors people saying different things are true the pics released so far everything. part of me thinks ittl be a mix of the original cap movie and gi joe. the other part thinks it will be kickass and look just as good as thor. so i guess we'll see.

punisher should be turned into a tv series and uf not on hbo then late night FX. like sons of anarchy or amc or amc like the walking dead.

all these movies based off marvel characters have gone down hill so much. the only things im looking forward to that are definitley being made are thor, spiderman, maybe captain america, and ironman 3 providing its more like the 1st. which unlike a lot here i enjoyed the second but enjoyed is the most enthusiastic word i have for it. i knew a lot of it would set up avengers and was preparedfor that. so ironman3 i will see hoping it goes back to the feel and story level as the first movie and uses mandarin.
