Matt Damon in Talks for Neill Blomkamp's "Elysium" Sci-Fi Film

Matt Damon in Talks for Neill BlomkampSubmit Comment
We already reported that Neill Blomkamp will be re-teaming with his "District 9" star Sharlto Copley for his second feature film called "Elysium," another sci-fi project.

THR has now learned that Matt Damon is now in early negotiations to join the movie, making "Elysium" a much more attractive project to take to studios and distributors. Stay tuned.

"Elysium" is set in the far future on another planet and is filled with many sociopolitical ideas wrapped up inside a Hollywood action film. This is not a "District 9" sequel, which Sony Pictures has been pressuring Blomkamp for.

Sharlto Copley is awesome...and Blomkamp should make this as good as district 9, then he will finally prove that he was the right one for the Halo movie.

Screw a Halo movie, have no interest in it whatsoever. Would rather see a Bioshock movie than some dipsh*t in space shooting midget aliens with shields and loud screams. Masterchief?? Masterdipsh*t.

Damon's a decent actor and Copley was hilarious in The A-team.
This will work.

One thing that confused me about District 9 was all the Meet The Parents references. They kept going on about the Fockers...

the attempts at comedy on this site are pathetic sometimes you don't have to try to be funny every time you comment
