Watch Theatrical Films at Home for $20,000Posted: December 9th, 2010 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
  Prima Cinema is looking to make movies available to watch at home on the same day they are opening in theaters. Unfortunately, the price tag $20,000.
But don't worry, that's the just the one-time fee for the digital delivery system. After that, each film will only cost you $500 each. Backed by Universal Pictures, the company is planning to start delivering movies to customers in about a year.
Many believe that it's impossible to build a business around a few thousand users (obviously only the rich), but Prima feels that it will create a super-premium niche market that won't harm any existing revenue streams for the studios.
It's still early to see how the whole thing works out, but Prima has already met with every major studios and a few minor ones. They are convinced that by next year, several of them will be on board.

Suddenly, $10 for a ticket doesn't seem that expensive anymore.

So basically this means only the rich retards will pay for this, and then the rest of us will most likely get nice screener right away..But it depends tho if the rich retards will know how to record/upload the movies..

$10? You blokes are complaining about $10.. FFS, an adult ticket in Australia costs like $16 and if you want to watch 3D its $19..

@Ranger
To be fair to BadChadB33, I have long suspected Megan has lived most of her life near a nuclear reactor and secretly her hands are growing into pr(aw)ns.
It would explain the toe-thumbs she has.

Better yet
Since we have an issue with inmates being tortured by watching the same movies over and over
Lets send our hard earned tax money to fund this business venture so that all our prisoners have up-to-date movies to watch
I sure some of our psychologists and college professors will be on board with this
