Stephen King's Top Ten Favorite TV Shows

Posted: December 6th, 2010 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Stephen KingSubmit Comment
For some reasons people want to know about Stephen King's favorite movies. Every years he speaks to publications and lists his top picks of the year, recently naming "Let Me In" as his favorite film of 2010.

But his interested spread outside of movies. King is actually a big fan of many television shows, which he recently talked about with Entertainment Weekly.

On his top ten list of TV shows, he lists "SpongeBob SquarePants," "Friday Night Lights," and MSNBC's "Morning Joe." Check out the full list (with some of King's comments) below.

10. Morning Joe "good talk for the politically inclined"

9. Boardwalk Empire

8. SpongeBob SquarePants "always witty and often fall-on-the-floor hilarious"

7. Sons of Anarchy

6. Dexter

5. Damages

4. The Event "clever, suspenseful drama"

3. Breaking Bad

2. The Walking Dead "21st-century rarity, appointment TV"

1. Friday Night Lights - "a lot of love and honesty has gone into FNL and it shows every week."

Stephen King's "Top Ten Ways of Doing Tabitha Without Crying" is next.

First on his list, use ice cream scoop to remove eyes from head.

He enjoys Count Chocula and Crispy Critters cereals.

This is just getting monotonous. I'm waiting for the day when magazines ask what King's top ten favorite pornos of the year are.

"East Meats West" - "Five muscled-up white guys, a cheap motel room, a reclining chair, and a pint-sized Asian girl with a cleft lip - the ingredients to a perfect Friday night in the basement."

"Race to Boob Mountain" - "It's edge of your seat entertainment...if you catch my drift."

"Muff Stuffers 5: Give Me All You Got" - "Mmmm...firecrotch."

"Hostel Part II" - "Yeah, why the f*ck not?"

Like Paul Mooney said in The Chappelle Show. "Here's a scary story for ya, how about n*gger with a brain, we'll see how that scares people or how about n*ggers in school! what do you think about that Stephen?" lol

They ask him these questions because talking about his latest books is just too painful for the interviewer.

It's like avoiding a sh*t-stain on the rug in the hopes the wife will clean it first.

His top ten shows are the only ones he's seen.

This list is just like his top ten films of the year, which is basically, "I've seen twelve this year. Here's ten of 'em."
Cd_Smith0 writes:

I like his top 10 lists....cause he is a decent writer and always seems to see a good story when its there. Some of the best books I have fond memories of include many of his books.

The Event is "clever and suspenseful drama"?

...my faith in King is dwindling.

let someone like Bruce Willis or Samuel L Jackson do it

@Rambo - with an even more boring ending?

I agree!

The Walking Dead, and Breaking Bad. I don't know why I'm surprised, but kudos. Those shows are amazing.

The fact that Steven King likes The Event shows what a complete hack he is.

Dexter should be number one!! NOTHING BEATS DEXTER
batdump writes:

agreed. Dexter owns. so King watches cartoons but no sitcoms? Community, Big Bang Theory, and Always Sunny are deserving of spots on a best tv show list
holtlt writes:

This guy is bipolar, The Event turned into a cheap copy of a cross between 24 and Lost. I agree with Sons Of Anarchy and Breaking Bad
