"The Three Stooges" is Back on TrackPosted: December 2nd, 2010 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
"The Three Stooges" was another victim of MGM's financial troubles, but now comes word that 20th Century Fox is interested in the property and will begin production on March 14th.
While the plan is to keep the Farrrelly brothers (Dumb and Dumber) on board to direct, the original cast comprised of Sean Penn (as Larry), Jim Carrey (Curly) and Benicio Del Toro (as Moe) will likely change.
The Farrelly brothers made most of their movies for Fox, which is probably why the project landed there. The plan for the movie is to maintain the tone of the original show.

This movie has had more ups and downs than Lindsay's mouth on the casting couch!

I thought Jim Carrey quited worried of health problems. Jack Black is my second choice for Curly.

Perhaps, but I doubt it'll stink as much.

The plan for the movie is to maintain the tone of the original show.
So Hollywood will demand these schlubs to really hurt themselves, Jim Carey will die from head trauma and Benecio Del Toro will grow to despise Sean Penn.
At least that's what Mel thought.

Just pick three of the guys who work on the MGM board...looks like they did a good job f*cking up MGM..so they should be perfect for these roles.
