"The Swarm" Killer Bee Movie Getting Remade Posted: November 17th, 2010 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
The Wrap is reporting that producers Roy Lee (The Ring) and Steven Schneider (Paranormal Activity) are developing a remake of the 1978 disaster movie "The Swarm." The original starred Michael Caine as an entomologist who learns that killer bees from South America have been coming together to form huge swarms. He sets out to stop the military from attacking and worsening the imbalance in nature, ultimately teaming up with them to prevent the deadly swarm from reaching Houston. Award-winning commercials director Ash Bolland is attached to direct and a writer is expected to be hired within the next month, although it's unclear whether they'll be working from the Arthur Herzog novel that served as the basis for the original movie.

AYT- lol , not sure why that happend.
Same here on the Guilty pleasure.
In fact most of Irwin Allens movies were just that as a kid, Even the great Paul Newman in When Time Ran Out, Not a great movie but always kept watching again and again..

I saw the original. It was sorta ridiculous. but I wonder with the producers they have behind it, (seeing as I personally feel they made the 2 scariest movies in the last 10 years) if the movie will actually be sorta cool.

This is the kind of film Rhasa Goober would look at and go, " How faggy is that ? It doesn't have enough c*cks! "

@Whitta George Clooney was in Return Of The Killer Tomatoes, not Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes.

Yep !! My kids watched JAWS the Revenge the other week and i ended up sitting through most of it again.
The other ones they (and me) like are the old Doug Mclure monster movies Land that time forgot and all those Proper B movie classics.
Another Good Caine movie (he's made a fair few) and young Demi Moore (yum yum) too.
Get Carter is a Fav of mine as well, the way he gets Britt Ekland off over the phone Classic !!
