Actor Shot to Death After Being Mistaken for a Real Gunman

Actor Shot to Death After Being Mistaken for a Real GunmanSubmit Comment
AP is reporting that police filed homicide charges against a Philippine village watchman Eddie Cuizon (pictured), who allegedly shot a masked actor he mistook for a real gunman during the filming of a movie.

Cuizon told investigators that he was checking his neighborhood for armed men when he confronted two masked men and was forced to open fire when they tried to get away on a motorcycle. He wasn't allowed to carry a firearm.

Cuizon ended up killing actor Kirk Abella, who was playing a vigilante in a low-budget movie called "Going Somewhere." Dozens of people watching the filming thought that the gunshots were part of the production.

Victor Sablada, who played the motorcycle driver, said Cuizon introduced himself as a police officer. "I told him, 'Buddy, we are just shooting,'" he said. Then as he revved up the motorcycle and started to move, Cuizon jumped on the seat behind Abella and shot him point-blank in the back.

Police have determined that the shooting was not premeditated. "It wasn't planned. It was plain stupidity," said an investigator.

That's one of the reasons I prefer Thailand to Phils.

Same amount of hot and willing teen chicks, much less idiots/criminals with guns.

Instead of "buddy we are just shooting" you should of said " its a movie" you jack ass and stopped everything to prove it. The guy was protecting his neighborhood sure he went overboard but it could have been prevented no matter how stupid he was.

Too bad they didnt get that taped and put into a movie. It would be refreshing to see and an action scene with out cgi and 3D

Frank Drebin: When I see five weirdos dressed in togas stabbing a guy in broad daylight, I shoot the bastards. That's my policy.
Mayor: That was a Shakespeare In The Park production of Julius Ceaser, you moron! You killed five actors! Good ones!

This story combined with the August 2010 botched hostage rescue onboard a tour bus in the Phillipines (which left 8 dead - check out Youtube to see how amateur their police force was as they stormed the scene).

...STUPIDITY is about right.
Mr. Blonde writes:

@Shayhiri - Damn straight!

@Ranger - If he were a "Watchman" he would have omnipotent powers to vapourize the two actors in a micro-second all the while glowing fluorescent blue with his 10 inch d*ck hanging out. No need for a f*ckin gun.

Look at that skinny kid. He looks like he's still in high school and he calls himself a village watchmen. The fact that he wasn't allowed to carry a firearm and the fact that he introduced himself as a police officer shows that this kid has a superiority complex.
