"The Wild Wild West" To Become TV Series, AgainSubmit Comment
CBS is looking to bring the 1960's Western television series "The Wild Wild West" back to the small screen with "CSI" executive producer Naren Shankar and "Battlestar Galactica" executive producer Ron Moore.

Shankar and Moore are writing and executive producing the remake, which follows two Secret Service Agents who investigate federal crimes in post Civil War America.

The original series was set during the presidency of Ulysses S. Grant who served from 1869-77. It centered on two Secret Service agents, gunslinger James West and gadget-maker Artemus Gordon who traveled the country aboard their luxury train as they did missions to protect the President.

"The Wild Wild West" was turned into a feature back in 1999, starring Will Smith and Kevin Kline, and went on to gross $113 million domestically on a $170 million budget.

Might work better on the small screen anyway.

this is comparable to Lohans c*nt, f*cking horrific, never saw the original but sounds about as gay as an electric car or perhaps Vin's family reunion on an average day that ends in the letter Y. And I didnt see the film, the trailers to the film was eye raping enough for me to remember. Hollywood I hate about you more than anything, more than the f*cking sh*tty ass american remakes, the prequels, sequels, spin off's. Is rehashing a already failed or bad idea over and over again?

I wonder what Will thinks (honestly) to this day about giving up to play Neo in 'The Matrix' for doing 'The Wild Wild West!' Clearly his career hasn't suffered. But... weird how some things go.

I actually think that would of been Will playing it safe on his part. As the matrix was a risk factor, and yeah the 1st one was amazing, but both sequels were complete sh*t, and honestly I think Reeves did do a good job, it wasnt his fault the serious flaked out as it went along in its story...

Couldn't agree more.

I want Cartman to star in this. Or at least have him sing the opening theme.
